Thompson has the genes to be a rotation player, but has yet to break through. With injuries to Iman Shumpert and Ronnie Brewer, who will be out a much shorter length of time, there may be an opportunity for a shooter on the Knicks roster to compliment Anthony. I’m interested to see if they really give Thompson a crack at shooting guard during camp and preseason. To me, it’s the team’s biggest weakness…a pure shooter.
