Carmelo questionable for Tuesday night

Carmelo Anthony is questionable for Tuesday night’s game against the Nets, the Knicks announced.

Anthony did not participate in the morning shootaround due to his sore right shoulder.

He will be evaluated further before a final decision is made before the game.

Got to give J Kidd a ton of credit. His team got off to a terrible start. He got rid of his high paid assistant, the guy most people assumed was really coaching the team, and than lost his best player. Despite all of that, he figured out how to use his roster, getting big contributions out of all 12 men. I'll admit I was dead wrong about him. I thought he'd struggle big time this year.

J. KIDD ON KNICKS-HE ISNT THE MISSING PIECE:

Yet when told of this on ESPN NY 98.7 FM's "The Michael Kay Show" on Monday, Kidd, now the rookie head coach of the playoff-bound Brooklyn Nets, politely disagreed.

“I was just one piece of the puzzle, a very small piece at that,” Kidd said. “I really enjoyed my time with the Knicks, and we had a great run. We came up short. We felt we could’ve made a run a little bit longer, but I had a great group of guys to play with and a great coach in [Mike Woodson]. I’m not the piece that’s missing.”

Was Kidd surprised the Knicks missed the playoffs after winning 54 games a season ago?

“It’s funny because everybody has injuries, and different teams handle them differently,” Kidd said. “The Knicks, they’re a very talented team. Unfortunately, they didn’t make the playoffs, but they’ll be back. They have a great player, one of the best players on the planet in [Carmelo Anthony]. And now they have a new president, Phil Jackson, so they’ll turn it around.”

Stoudemire says playing in Israel in 2015 "would be massive for Israel as a country ... and for the basketball club. So it's a high chance."

With all the minutes Melo has logged this year and we still not making the playoffs in the pathetic East, it should be a total no brainer to have him sit the next 2 games out.

But these are our Knicks.  Not a smart bunch!

@BiggieTKB Interesting that Melo played with a bum shoulder along with smith bum knee and pushed the pacers to six.  Suns are out and their a overachieving team with injuries missing the playoffs..yet the knicks last season injuries in the playoffs were a failure.  LOL.  Cant make this up.

Are you actually a Suns fan, or do you just like the way they play? I like watching the Suns play. They had a great year, and are actually better off missing the playoffs. They weren't getting out of the first round anyway.

@VerySilentJay LOL If we had to wait for every player or FO person to tell you everything they are thinking verbatim, we wouldn't need to blog!

Phil doesn't give a crap about what I think nor do he knows who I am.  Hopefully, Melo figures that out about him too!

Phil is paying more attention to Odom! SMGDH
