Carmelo wants to be in the know on trade talks

With the trade deadline approaching, Carmelo Anthony expects the team will let him know before making any moves.

“I’m pretty sure they would bring it to me, they would keep me up to date about what is going on,” Anthony said (Iannazzone).

Knicks want lin again

We exude so much panic and frenzy as an organization, that we must look pathetic to the players around the league

How depressing if Melo is truly going to have a say in player acquisition. Let him stick to playing ball and let the Knicks hire someone who understands wheeling and dealing.

how depressing will thursday be when Felton is still our pg

Melo must not know Dolan that well yet

People tend to forget Rondo has a reputation of being somewhat of a headcase. Didn't he almost get into a physical altercation with Doc Rivers because he was hard headed and wouldn't follow instructions? Didn't he have problems with Ray Allen too? Just what this team needs; another potential loose cannon. On top of that the guy is a sub par shooter and doesn't hit free throws at a high clip coming off major knee surgery. He's not the no brainer acquisition some seem to think he is. Proceed with caution.

Trades are like playing poker you have to know how to bluff and the Knicks are going to shock a lot of people if the deals happen the way they are suppose to.

So maybe Melo is to blame for Bargnani and no STAT amnesty since he's the GM.

trade chandler, you can't teach length and if you think the d is bad now just trade away a player that doesn't mind playing d for whatever you get back probably a pick.

patience is a virtue do not trade chandler, shump, or hardaway jr out of desperation that is never the time to make a move.

It's all mental masturbation, my friends. The Knicks are not in a position to give Melo what he wants or needs (in terms of team mates). At best, he can get a promise that things will get better in 2015 - but by then he will be gone or will have signed a long contract with the Knicks. This year and next year are wasted. That's reality.

I might get in trouble for this and but there are couple of teams that are working with them behind the scene to make this happened. That's all i can put out when missing things up.

18..maybe 20....I'd say 18-12 to finish.

@OLDKNICK  If he has any pride, he should be ashamed every time he cashes his check.

@OLDKNICK

There was a backup catcher in the 1950's, Harry Simpson. He was traded so much, his nickname was Suitcase.

We shouldn't care if it bothers Felton. He's had his fair share of chances to learn the game and the importance of staying in shape and conditioning over the course of his career. He's had Michael Jordan (Bobcats) and Jason Kidd as mentors during his pro career. Not to mention, he comes from one of the top collegiate basketball programs.

If Felton hasn't learned anything about keeping himself in proper shape by now in order to compete at the pro level...then that's his own fault.

He sucks and shouldn't be starting.

@OLDKNICK  If he had any pride, it should.

That said, any seasoned athlete should be aware of they're level of play, and in return, they should be up to par to the gfazillions they receive and give back to a fanbase that never stops cheering (not this place).

he gets paid millions, i think he'll be fine

@Jesus Blas

Latest word from the Rockets is they are keeping Lin. They need his scoring off the bench.

Melo suggesting that huh?? No..that's right he suggests some things...some things he doesn't..lol..

depends on who they guve up and they would need Asik

@Jesus Blas  If there's an organization willing to be so stupid witihn a 48 month period of time, it's the Knicks.

More so than acquiring Lin, I'd be pssed if we got fleeced again for a player that already passed through out ranks.

But like I said, classic Knicks.

Buddha....Yep its exactly what this team needs. We need a player to be a A** Hole to call out this coach whenever he disagrees with him and not be ashame to call him out on his poor system.

@Pevi Levi  He's not really a pg. Needs ball in his hands often to be effective. Doesn't really excel at getting teammates involved. More of a shoot first pg.

It's rondo not really shocking anyone I think lebron or durant would shock

Don't be that guy...ur smarter than that. They're involving him..because he can bolt..they should've included him ahwile ago.

VerySilentJay

@Pevi Levi  Injuries run for any athletie on any sport. They can happen at any given time. Before Westbrook went down, he hadn't been injured or missed a game in 4 years, and now he is "injury prone"...

And let's not pretend Kobe's an easy guy to deal with in terms of personality.

Ego and injuries are a part of the sport, and must be handled and accepted if one is too succeed.

I'll take Rondo with all his character defects.

buddhabing

@Pevi Levi  I agree. He is damaged goods. No way i invest the money and players it would take to get him here. Not worth it. He is not head and shoulders above Teague imo. His flaws would be magnified in this fishbowl of a city. Expectations would be through the roof.

lobcity1

Knickster...I somewhat agree but if Rondo wants to force his way to NY technicality he can. They C's wont keep him. Im not counting on anything but as always interesting -Mental masturbation.

Mr.Boots
Mr.Boots

@Ian Carvalho @Mr.Boots I don't know about that in several concerns. It's a good thing if the star can give relevant input. Not all giants on the court are giants in decision making and personnel acquisition.

Your statement also assumes that Front Offices consulting the star are doing it seriously or as a pro forma ritual that means nothing.

Knicks want, Rondo, Lin, Teague, Irving, Lowry, i guess we can say the knicks want a starting pg. how soon till the steve nash rumirs surface?

I know. However, why must he put that out there for more scrutiny?

@smiggybalz  Don't believe the media hype that we don't. Teams have been calling for a while trying to get our players. Felton has been the only one some teams pause on. Remember they said the same thing before we traded players for Melo.

@lobcity Rondo will not force his way to New York because:

1. They can't pay him enough

2. New York has very little of interest for Boston.

Spikewho...I know right. Thinking the same thing.

Lol

Can't pay him enough?,,they'll have his bird rights and exceed the cap in signing him...that's the advantage in trading for him.
