Chandler doubtful for tonight’s game vs. Pistons

Tyson Chandler is doubtful for tonight’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons with what the team is calling an “upper respiratory infection.”

Chandler was forced from Sunday’s game against the Mavericks with the aliment.

Sheesh this guy gets sick on a monthly basis.

Expect him to catch the flu in round one yet again lol

Still love ya Tyson but man can you take some vitamins to boost your immune system

When is Kyrie a free agent? Who can see Jyrie in a Knick uni? I sure as hell can!

Listening to Sports radio and can't believe they are saying the Knicks "should" beat the Pistons.  The Knicks are one of the worst teams in the league right now.  There is no team the Knicks "should" beat.

Hearing Hinrich will be next to go. Would you guys want to get him? Not sure what his contract is.

Hope Toure doesn't get glued to the bench. IMO beno, Toure >Felton, Prig

Also glad to see Felton back.  Hopefully this relegates Beno back to the bench.

Listening to KMART describe his current health condition does not give me much confidence with Chandler out (and Bargnani and STAT on the floor together is NOT a good option).   Although I was initially reluctant about acquiring Bynum, the Knicks may have to look at it.

Maybe Chandler needs to watch Forks Over Knives or something.

Perhaps Tyler and Cole get some minutes tonight?

Oh and more minutes for Timmy.

WOW! The Bulls traded Deng to the Cavs for Bynum and some draft picks where they will release Bynum.

This seems to free up money for them and with Boozer in his final year, they can get plenty under the cap to make some moves.

However, losing Deng is big loss for them in the short run in imo.

I've never heard of a professional athlete get sick as often as Tyson..it's ridiculous

Same as in the playoffs ,you would think our medical staff can resolve this issue.

@SheSaidSpikeWho Nope.  He's not an upgrade over Felton.  Probably on par with Pablo.  Knicks need an upgrade if they are going to climb out of this steep hole they have dug for themselves.

@1strdpicks Murry is no PG. He's a combo guard adapting to the role. His handle is extremely weak, his jumper is ugly, and he's still very much a work in progress. I really do like what he brings in terms of defense, penetration, and speed in the open court. But he's not ready to assume heavy minutes. Those 15 minutes he's been getting hopefully will remain. If the coach had any sort of smarts, Felton will take minutes away from Beno and JR.

OT: his FT% is close to D Jordan territory. Atrocious.

@knick4life

Bynum is expected to clear waivers and become a free agent by the end of the week. Though he was suspended by the Cavs for one game for conduct detrimental to the team and excused from team activities, he is expected to be chased on the open market. The Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks are among the teams expected to consider offering him a landing spot. Bynum already said the Clips and Heat are his preferred destinations. The Knicks just now have come out as a possible destination. In terms of durability, Bynum gives you no guarantees and the dude is a huge cancer. I don't know. I have my doubts.

I think he goes to the Clips because Miami already has their charity project in Oden.

Boozer isn't in his final year of his contract but he will be amnestied this summer.

@xmenreturn Deng is becoming a FA this summer, couldn't reach an agreement with Chicago.

Chicago's FO was torn on whether to tear it all down or to keep things tight until Rose came back.

Now, they get future picks, tons of flexibility by waiving Bynum and using their amnesty on Boozer most likely.

They want in on 2015.

Desperate move by the Cavs imo. LA was willing to trade Gasol and wanted one little pick in return. Instead, they give 3 to chicago....

@Seth NadlerSome people are prone to certain illnesses.  Chandler always seems to have 'upper respiratory infections', something which I am also prone too.  I get at least 2, maybe 3 sinus infections per year where I have to take antibiotics and am pretty miserable for a few days.  And its not a sickness that's easy to play through and its very hard to breathe.

cj1786

@ReneNYK1What do you want them to do?  He's sick, and likely needs to take antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection, which unfortunately don't work instantly.

@VerySilentJay@1strdpicks Murry isn't a PG but I think he is better than an out of shape Beno right now.

My biggest issue with Woodson this season is his seeming reluctance (or perhaps inability) to put players in positions to succeed.  Murry can give you very good defense in spurts that have proved successful.  Why Woodson instead chooses to put in Beno during critical defensive possessions in the 4th qtr is beyond me.

@VerySilentJay@knick4life I was hesitant about Bynum for that very reason. I'm not even sure he wants to play basketball anymore.  But at a minimum salary for one season and with the Knicks in a dire situation I don't really see the downside.  If all else fails he will just be taking up Cole Aldrich seat on the bench or he will be cut.

This Texas trip did not fool me into thinking "the Knicks are back."  Serious upgrades at PG and backup Center are needed if this team is going to go anywhere.

@VerySilentJay I hope he goes tot he Clips because I think he might get his act somewhat together with the Heat. They have the leadership and winning pedigree to deal with this dude that others may not.

@VerySilentJay @xmenreturn

The Bulls made out like freaking bandits.  Deng is good but he's not worth the money he's going to get this offseason.  Chicago saves over 20 million dollars this year alone and gets a ton of draft picks for a guy that isn't going to put Cleveland over the top.  The Bulls have a bunch of draft picks these next few years and are primed for a very quick rebuild.  Very smart.

No idea what Cleveland is doing.  Desperation move is right.  I think they're all in because they're worried about Kyrie leaving in the future.

@cj1786 @Seth Nadler So the flu counts as a "respiratory infection"? Because that kept him out once, and then he had a tummy ache afterwards. Every other injury has been muscular or teh late fracture he had.

Once I became Vegan my sinus and upper respiratory crap was shut down. Amazing what our diet is doing to us. Couldn't believe it. I never get sick anymore. Not even a cold.

It's because Murry is not capable of running the offense if he gets the slightest bit of pressure on him! It's very noticeable and I have agreed with Woody everytime he has yanked Murry! Short spurts Murry is effective! He has potential! But Beno is way more capable at this point!

@VerySilentJay @ds2488 @xmenreturn

Bulls get Sac's pick this year if outside top 12.  Next couple years outside top 10.  Can swap for Cle's pick if it's outside top 14.

Also own Charlotte's pick if outside top 10 and have that spanish star everybody's raving about stashed away.

That can be up to 3 1st round picks all below 20 in a great draft if things work out, plus the Spanish guy, plus all the cap space that will open up with no Deng and no Boozer.  If you add a somewhat healthy Rose to the mix they are really set up very well.

SheSaidSpikeWho
SheSaidSpikeWho

@VerySilentJay @xmenreturn He had it removed or repaired? If he had it removed, he'll be fine for now but he'll have the knee issues wade (who also had his meniscus removed) is having. Removing the meniscus will lead to arthritic knees.

VerySilentJay
VerySilentJay

@xmenreturn @VerySilentJay Rose will be back just fine. A lot of people are saying he's the new Brandon Roy, when the truth is, the ACL tear is 5x as serious as a meniscus tear.

The ACL is the one that can affect your athleticism in every aspect.

Meniscus is something you don't even have to operate, yet Rose chose to take it out. It is tremendously common among athletes and it poses no threat to their athleticism.

@VerySilentJay

The Bulls finally have a nice setup possibly moving forward especially if Rose comes back anywhere near healthy.

They can go after Melo if they so desire.

VerySilentJay
VerySilentJay

@ds2488 @VerySilentJay @xmenreturn They're 2nd rounders in 2015 and 2016 and a protected top 14 pick in the next draft. If somehow the Kings don't draft above, then the Bulls get it.

Cavs just really wanted Deng, apparently.

We'll have to wait and see what those 2nd rounders turn into.

@SheSaidSpikeWho It's not as bad as many make it out to be, and it doesn't have to be straight up vegetables.

Fettuccini Alfredo, fajitas, tempeh, spring rolls, chicken curry, wheat products, etc.

Tons and tons of soy. Tofu as well.

I was gladly surprised by soy burgers. They are't half as bad as I thought they'd be.

Though every vegan takes a different approach, or so I'm told.

I tried it once with little succhess.

That said, give me a porterhouse and I'm happy for the rest of the day.

I'd love to be vegan but the food isn't as good. How do you do it? What are your favorite meals?
