Final Score: Grizzlies 98 Knicks 93

The Knicks were defeated by the Grizzlies by a score of 98-93 tonight in Memphis.

The Least You Should Know

This was a roller coaster game. They were down by 11 at the half and charged in the 3rd. The Knicks finally tied it up during the first few minutes of the 4th quarter.

The end of the game was much closer. The Knicks led by 3 at the 2 minute mark but the Grizzlies crawled back in. J.R. Smith missed a wide open corner 3 which was set up by Carmelo Anthony’s penetration and a minute later, Pablo Prigioni missed his open 3.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was truly fantastic for the Knicks tonight. After starting 0 for 3, he erupted in the 2nd half, scoring 23 points and shooting just under 50% from both the field and behind the arc.

Mike Miller killed the Knicks over and over in this game. Every time he was given an inch, he drained a 3-point shot. He was 5 for 7 from behind the arc. Mike Conley added 22 in the win.

Mike Woodson finally mixed up his rotation. During the key minutes of the 4th quarter, Prigioni and Hardaway Jr. were on the court instead of Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton. Those two played just 20 and 29 minutes respectively.

Harris Decker

This was actually a great basketball game. Unfortunately at this point in the season, you can’t settle for these type of games. The Knicks were down by as many as 18 and came back, looking very strong during runs in the 4th quarter.

Pablo Prigioni ran the point for the Knicks during the key moments of this game. He had 10 assists tonight in addition to his 7 points and a steal. It was really nice to see Mike Woodson trying to mix things up. He played the hot hand in Tim Hardaway Jr. over Iman Shumpert and sat Felton the entire 4th quarter.

Speaking of Hardaway Jr., he was fantastic in the 2nd half of this game. He was hitting shot after shot and many of them were contested. He even hit a 3 while being knocked to the floor by 3 different Grizzlies, adding a free throw to make it a 4-point play.

The surprising part about this game was that the Grizzlies should have been able to beat the Knicks up on the boards and in the paint with Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. While those two got off to good starts, it was Mike Conley and Mike Miller that ended up hurting the Knicks in the end. The Knicks actually had 1 more rebound in the game.

It’s a killer loss wrapped in a great basketball game.

The Knicks continue their road trip tomorrow against the New Orleans Pelicans at 8pm.

So Another Felton Excuse he get's a pass on, Divorce?

i mean i don't wish any ill will cause Divorce is hell for some but if thats the case let the Team know you have to take a leave of absence so others can step up

instead of stinking it up and playing uninspired.

knicks just traded felton for jordan - bobcats will reinstate him. Jordan will start at the 2 guard along side pablo. How ever it seems jordan is all ready demanding a trade back to the chicago bulls, so that he can come to the garden and get his season high on us. Then... re retire... lmao

what's baffling is being a # 2 seed last season to 2 games out of the 8th playoff spot, even with ATL and Wizards losing consecutives games we don't gain ground.

We all think this team should be better than they are but they are locked into losing.

Standing pat is no longer a winning idea.

I look forward to whatever changes to come.

I'm tired of nearly everyone not named Hardaway or Anthony.

Let the cleansing begin.

Night all. Time to sleep off this vodka.

I think I just figured it out.... Dolan, AKA Buzz Lightyear, told Woody(Toy Story) to play Felton more to show case him for a trade, it back fired, but Dolan is still insisting!!!!!

If we got to get rid of Shump n Tim, Then I want Lance! The question is does he want us though?

@zebeto

Anything less than Rondo will make Melo leave.

Time to move Chandler for a pick and send that pick along with our 2018 to Boston.

@Seth Nadler

Yup. said it before.

If I were the opposing team, I'd circle the date we were playing The Knicks.

"This gonna' be my night!"

chuco

We have 24hrs maybe to pull something off without giving all the assets like we did for Melo if rondo will sign next year if possible

Sandro
Sandro

@Juan Maldonado

He wants money. He'll be a restricted free agent but Indiana will only pay him so much.

I wouldn't mind losing Junior and Shumpert for Rondo, if we had cap space to sign Lance in free agency.

We can move Amare on the Rondo deal, and Chandler for Okafor's expiring. But Bargnani is a killer to that plan.

zebeto
zebeto

@Sandro @zebeto...looks like Celtics are willing to let Rondo go for an up and comiing player (Timmy??) and a pick (2018).......and take back Kris humphries in process.

.

...Mills just needs to pull the trigger ,if true .

@Jesse Brand so that's normal but its not a lingering affect is it
