Final: Knicks 117 Nuggets 90

The Knicks defeated the Nuggets tonight by a score of 117 to 90.

The Least You Should Know

The Knicks were once again dominant as the roller coaster season continues. Caremelo Anthony led the Knicks with 31 points on 12 for 21 shooting.

Jeremy Tyler had a nice game off the bench, contributing on both ends of the court and giving the team a much needed energy boost in the 2nd half. He finished with 11 rebounds and 12 points.

Tyson Chandler, Jeremy Tyler, J.R. Smith, Amare Stoudemire and Tim Hardaway Jr. all scored 10+ points. Stoudemire was particularly effective going 7 for 12 and adding 8 rebounds.

Iman Shumpert sat out key minutes in this game, playing only 16:30. Hardaway Jr. and Smith both played more than him.

Melo confirms he drank " tea" with Dolan . Last time he said he drank something with an owner dantoni got fired and he got traded

Nice team win. Hardaway was a HUGE steal at the 24th pick. Tyler looks like a real player.

Shump looks completely lost on the court. He is becoming a turn over machine on offense. I wish there was someone who could help him get his head straight.

I have a crazy feeling this Woodson firing after the sac game is coming with a trade of rondo or irving.

Good win by the Knicks but it will take a lot more than a blow out victory to sway me into thinking this season isn't over.

I was reading an article about how and who the knicks should sign in 2015 to rebuild around melo. They made some great points about the kind of players that needs to be around Melo. It said a play making point that can dribble drive and can pass anywhere on the court out of the pnr. A defensive pnr C and a bunch of 3 and D wings.  So that had me thinking and i realized that FA isn't the only way to rebuild the knicks. We an trade Amare, TC and AB in 2015 so it really doesn't matter if Melo takes the max or not.

I mean say we give melo 5 yrs 130 mil this offseason. In 2015, during the season TC AB and STAT can all be traded for players that are disgruntled ( irving and cleveland are prime examples). If Irving is still disgruntled next season giving Cleveland 22 mil in cap saving might be hard for Gilbert to pass up. Same can go for Boston next season if they dont trade Rondo this season and he is disgruntled giving Boston up 20 mil in saving is very tempting for a player they might lose for nothing.

It was a great win tonight. This team is absolutely, totally maddening to the point of extreme frustration, inconsistent. Either Santa comes with the presents or you get a lump of coal. Tonight Santa was good to us and we played awesome basketball. It was nice to watch a game and relax.

Talk all you want about THJR, but Tyler has a very strong all around game. He can play both ends of the court. He could be a real find. With Bargnani, Amar'e, and K-Mart all real injury risks, it's nice to have a talented youngster, who is only going to get better instead of old and broken down.

How good is Jeremy Tyler!? I just wish we had a real pg. Remember last year when we the Suns wanted to do Shumpert for Dragic? Man i wish we would of done it. We need a pg thats all. We saw what happened when Jeremy Lin was here

Man, just when it seems the hammer is going to fall on Woodson. Who can figure this team out?

i don't care. Bkn loses, Raptors will lose in LAC. I still want that three seed! I don't care who coaches them there either.

As much as I like shump I think its time to trade him. Also I think we play better team ball without barngani. Allows Jr to be more confident with his game

@Jerry Gee

The on-court frustration was one thing, but I was really surprised to see that kind of negative attitude from Timmy when he dissed Pablo on the bench.  Probably not a big deal as long as it doesn't become a pattern.  But Pablo is a smart, savvy basketball player with plenty of experience under his belt - he knows his sh!t.

Pablo did make some big plays though.

@zdiddy4nyk  it's called desperation. he stubbornly lost soooo many games that we should have won. if he is still here, if we make the playoffs (which i don't think he will be) he will revert to the old woody guaranteed.

@kenmetskni  It is called TRADE!!!  Shump has done nothing for the past few weeks.  And while someone will still take him, trade him NOW!  They keep holding on to him hoping he turns into "that" guy.  He is far to inconsistent and moody to be depended on.  Heck they already have one of those guys in J.R., no need for two.  Put  him out there and see what we can get for him.  And just for the record, what NBA team fields a small forward that offers so little when he is in there?

That just means the Thunder will be tougher to beat on Sunday for us.

Durant decided transition defense was optional on that final possession.

As much as I hate to do it, I'll take that bet. Knicks aren't beating OKC coming off a bad loss.

I like the idea shump for jackson but I feel like if were going to give up a big we have to get one in return.

@Biggie

Funny. Your prediction of a long day of church building in Angola is as wrong as your prediction of 50 wins for this team.

Woodson. Glen. Bargnani. Seeding. Angola.

Don't you ever get tired of being wrong about things?

@Biggie  they are all hyped up because they know he is gone before the all star break. they feel relieved---sort of like an elephant on their chest!

I hear you but we have those expirings in 2015 which Boston wants I could see us taking Wallace and Jeff green then going after durant in 2016

@EzekieL

traditionally yes. But KMart is a player whom OKC has had on their radar...To sure up things wit Ibaka..(KPerkins woohs).

RJ is lite years of Westbrook in terms of B-ball systems on chemistry. plus Kenyon is 36/37

That's funny.......kinda like the Westbrook for Tyson rumor

I didn't like what I saw between THjr and Pablo either. Of course, we don't know exactly what went down between them, but it did look like the rookie was out of line. Hopefully, this problem doesn't persist. If it does, I'm not confident in Woidson's ability to deal with it properly. It might take Melo stepping in to mediate the situation. I would think that the rookie would listen to the super star.

Do you envision Durant and Melo together, or will Melo be gone? It would be interesting to see those two share the ball.

Adding Wallace would actually help this team. Guy is non stop hustle. Had close to a triple double tonight.
