wiz were still doubling melo, should have been used as a decoy multiple times last nite.

so woodson knew melo's shoulder was bad n kept feeding him the ball? that would explain the 9 turnovers.

you had decent ball movement n jr or amare, even felton hit that big three? there were other options on court. woodson cannot get out of his own way.

I tried making logical sense of Woody subs during the game but I just felt my Iq was dropping faster then the speed of light. What a disaster. Over working melo awesome work woody. Going out with a bang.

Monty on his decision to take Anthony Davis out in 4th quarter: "Every game is a championship game for me, but I've got to be smart."

Monty on Anthony Davis hurting: "I just felt like he couldn't do what he wanted to do and it didn't look good with him on the floor."

With Woodson as the Knicks coach, with his in game decisions, his lack of adjustments and idiotic substitutions, I sometimes feel like the Knicks are playing 5 against 6 with Woodson the other teams six man on the court!

I'm sorry you had to see that game. Must've felt like you worked another shift after watching that debacle.

Watch these Knicks win against the Heat and then lose to the Raptors. Total schizoid this team is. I wish this team was a little more angry after devastating losses instead of being so nonchalant. It never looks like we are.

Btw: Jimmybx is one angry drunk. Knicks/Mets will do that. Ease up on that Bacardi papa.

Just have to say that Billy Donovan is a totally underrated coach. He turns out great pros and Bradley Beal is one of many. Hope to see my Gators go all the way.

Horrible to lose like this. Beal absolutely killed us... This game also illustrates how brutal Mike Woodson has been as a coach. No answers, no adjustments and no continuity on offense or defense. I feel like he spent the whole game tinkering with lineups.... Hard to see them getting in two games in loss column behind Atlanta and some tough games coming up. Can they turn on a dime and be clutch?

Anyone want to give odds on many Nets will be rested for the playoffs when they play the Hawks?

Chris Herring @HerringWSJ

Woodson's most puzzling comment: We brought back Carmelo into the game in 4Q bc "we weren't gaining any ground." That's simply not true.

Chris Herring @HerringWSJ

From when Melo exited -- w/ 10:45 left in 4Q to when he came back w/ 6:20 left -- Knicks went on 13-8 run and took a 3-point lead.

now that, is what a real coach does. if a player is hurting, just take him out. not only can it affect the team playing hurt but it can make the injury worse.

@SheSaidSpikeWho We are playing better teams and if we lose Sunday, it's quite possible we could lose all the remaining games. But I hope we turn this around quickly agaimst the Heat.

@knicks50 This is on Woody and Melo man!  How in the heck does Melo not tell Woody that he is hurt and can't be tasked with making a key pass in that situation.  Melo had decoy written all over him tonight and one or both of them should have been on the same page for this,

No way would I allow my coach to draw up a play for me knowing I can't do the thing that is needed and we truly need the win.

We are a duuuuuuuuumb team!

@Brostoevsky  Can they?  This season has shown us the answer is "Absolutely".  Will they?  That's why we watch the games!

Awesome, now this just proves that we have TWO franchise players who benefit us best when they are on the bench, Amare AND Melo.

@Jimmy BX You guys are just feeding him (if in fact he's here to troll); and if he's a legit fan you are just hurting his feelings.  Either way what you're doing isn't helping.

@Sandro Guedes True.  NBA needs a "Woody Rule" like the "Isiah Rule" for GMs.  Something like "You can't play any injured player more than 20 minutes in a game"

I have a better question, why (how) are you out of your cell at this time of night when I know at the institution your at the lights must have been put out and a cell check was made. Your too sneaky for your own good!

@knicks50
Dude you are totally clueless.  I speak from experience on this one.  If I'm unable to do my job effectively due to an injury and the coach calls my number, then I would tell my coach that I'm unable to do that job effectively so the coach could go a different direction.

It's about communicating and making sure everyone is one the same page with the best information possible.

I wouldn't say much but I heard Melo's interview and he was telling the media that his shoulder blew out many times during the game and he couldn't get anything on any passes.

YIKES!  Don't tell the media, tell your coach that emphatically otherwise be quiet.  The media can't help ya on that play.

HypoCrit_calNYKfans

@xmenreturn

The Knicks have "ONE" coach and his name is "Mike Woodson" and not "Carmelo Anthony." Why is that so hard for you to understand? Your "blame Carmelo routine" is getting about as stale as the Knicks assistant coaches. As a matter of fact when Phil Jackson make those Cats "walk the plank", why don't you wrap yourself around one of their legs and take the plunge with them giving us here at TKB a rest!

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@knicks50 LOL  I don't need your words to see the troof dawg!

Melo came into the interview with all kinds of excuses why he was making turnovers.  It just seems if you're gonna tell the media that your shoulder went out and you couldn't put anything on any passes then it would have made sense to tell that to the coach emphatically so hopefully he could have used Melo as a decoy maybe.

Put the ball in PG hands and have Melo cut hard for the ball hopefully taking multiple defenders with him and then you have JR or STATues as your go to guys.
