The Knicks are coming off an ugly loss to the Wizards and facing another bad team in the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minny is the kind of bad team with just enough talent to give you a good scare, albeit that’s a good description of the bulk of the bad teams in the NBA, whose rosters by all accounts are made up almost entirely of professionals.

The key will be containing the play-making of Ricky Rubio, the type of player who could well give New York’s perimeter defense fits, while making sure you don’t give up a big game to anyone named Pekovic because, really, what would be the point?

Kevin Love won’t play for Minnesota because HE’S SCARED OF US!!!! … or hurt, I can’t remember which.

Anyway, we’ll all be cuddled up by the fire, real or imagined, trying to stay warm as the blizzard rages on outside our doors, as the Knicks bask in the tropical paradise that is Minnesota. Should be good times.
