Game 48: Knicks @ Bucks, 8pm

Screen shot 2014-02-03 at 9.41.38 AM

The Knicks head to warm and sunny Milwaukee to take on the Bucks tonight at 8pm.

The Bucks are a bad team. They get blown out every other night and look lost for long stretches of most games.

The Knicks had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday with a loss to the Heat and will look to bounce back against the Bucks before coming home for a bigger test in Portland on Tuesday. If the Knicks were good, this might be considered a trap game, but the Knicks must know how vital every win is at this point. Nobody in that locker room is looking ahead, right?

Shump is a game time decision with his nagging shoulder injury. If he can’t go, watch to see how JR Smith plays in a second consecutive start.

The Knicks projected starters are: Melo, JR Smith/Shump, Tyson, Prigioni, Felton.

The Bucks projected starters are: Khris Middleton, Ersan Ilyasova, Larry Sanders, Nate Wolters, Brandon Knight.

UPDATE:  Iman will play, and start. JR will return to the bench.

Michael Bolton is an awful singer.  Didn't know he played hockey too.

Boulton didn't play enough to matter. There will be a few players mention in the list that didn't play enough to matter.

After the Leddy and Boychuk trades, I think the team has enough character guys in the room to move forward. Time to place guys with talent on the roster, over guys with " intangibles".

@rmvacation yeah that worked when they got physically mauled in the playoffs and their talent guys stuck to the perimeter and did not score a playoff goal!

Capuano will ruin any player so it doesn't matter

Please name me one player Capuano has "ruined"...

@puckdad99 The worst part is they aren't even stray posts.  They are from over a year ago.  Somehow they are finding their way over here.

It's going to be real hard for Montreal to come back from being down 4-2 in the series.

547 posts on a Boulton thread.  Couldn't possibly be more Knicks comments, could it?

Geez.  Wake me up when the fix this.....

@tom- you should check the Habs blogs. Right now, you really think they feel better having won a few playoff series over the last 22 years? I don't believe that is providing any comfort.

Caps win tonight, I can't imagine Ranger fans feeling better about at "least making it to round 2" or " well we made the Finals last year."

You win it all, or you win nothing concerning the playoffs.

He did his job the few times he was called upon, will go down as one of the more tough guys in the nhl when his career ends

Well give him credit for NHL longevity and being a good teammate.

Why even bother with this article

I assume they're doing alphabetical order since Bailey came first. Projected over an 80 game schedule he would've had 16 goals in very limited ice time

he has about 30 goals in over 600 career games...

Eric Boulton gets a report card?  Who's next, Matt Carkner?... Michal Neuvirth can't be far behind followed by Tyler Kennedy and Kael Mouillierat.

why are you even wasting time grading Eric Boulton's season?

@Biggie @tommy2b  I'm helping by spreading negative energy on TKB from the 2nd Raptors loss I realized this team was toast.  Change is needed.

Bigge you are the just the type of fan Dolan loves.  Exactly why he doesn't need to change 40 years of futility.   Keep "maintaining the positive energy" with your wallet.  MSG thanks you.

it comes a time when the coaches have to see what we all see. know team in the nba can win when your point gaurd, gives you 3 points. your off guard gives you 3 points, and your small aka foward gives you 4 points. they say shump is a stopper .yes he is night in and night out he is stopping us from winning, it comes a time when coach needs to see what we the fans see. this knick team is not good enough to compete and win night in and night out. make trades and get some real players

Chandler was hoping for an overtime win? LOL

@Elvis Maduro  We have definitely regressed to those days but at least we had a record worth being happy about. Now we are just awful more than half of the time.

Most of the team looked disinterested. They made JR look like a man on a mission lol. Good game by JR. Melo came on in the 4th after being a member of the disinterested crew. Felton is terrible defensively and he knows it..he looks for someone to blame after each of his own defensive short-comings.

There is only one consistent player on this team and his name is Carmelo Anthony. Everyone else is streaky/erratic. So, how can we expect the team to win consistently when the individual players aren't even consistent?

I gave up on Woody a long time ago. The heat game was the coup de grâce for me...Miami basically did the same thing they did two years ago in the playoffs and Woody showed that he still hasn't learned how to make an adjustment.

I can't even get mad anymore while I watch. I laugh sometimes but not one of sheer joy...more like a crazy/deranged laugh. Lol This is not good for my sanity.

@SheSaidSpikeWho

When we tied up the game late, it was just another setup. You just knew Knight was going to get an open look against Felton and bury a three, crushing our fantasy of a comeback victory.

Get fat boy off this team. Don't care if we trade a pick or whatever. Just get that trash off my team.

Watching that Land Rover commercial and whimsically wished a pointer could point The Knicks toward a good PG.

Felton never should have been put in position to be a 32+ mpg starter for this Knicks squad. Set-up for failure.

@Tikki

It's also a result of an ownership that deems both Lin and Lowry as too costly, but pulls the trigger on Bargnani.

@Knicks_Fanatic @Tikki

That's why I was desperately hoping the Knicks would keep that 2016 1st-rounder - I wanted the Knicks to use it towards a PG!

@Kiyan Carter  That's what I'm saying. Get Kyrie in here however you can.

Woodson interview template:

Coach, why was it so hard to get into the flow tonight?

"We had a lot of open looks, but the shots just didn't fall. I thought [Raymond, Tim] and [Shumpert] were open at times but they just wouldn't drop, man."

What did you see from [Brandon Knight] tonight?

"He's a great player, and he hurt us tonight. He's a talented guy who's in the mix for MVP of this league and we just couldn't stay in front of him."

Coach, what about the lack of defensive effort?

"I wasn't happy with our defense today. I have to get these guys focused on making stops. That's on me. We can't keep spotting teams [10 points late in games] and expect to win."

Why is this team struggling right now?

"Well I can't take anything away from [the Bucks] they're one of the most talented teams in this league. They were just better than us tonight."

Brandon knights in the mix for mvp?

there's no reason for in game comments anymore, im sick and tired of posting the same thing about this team over and over again. All i care about is what this team is going to do before Feb 20. this season is over finished, im not getting sucked it again..unless this team improves defense, pg, and coaching it will be same story.
