Game 52: Kings @ Knicks, 7:30pm

Bkrop

The Knicks host the Sacramento Kings tonight at 7:30pm @ MSG.

The Knicks are coming off a shellacking courtesy of Kevin Durant last Sunday, and hope to rebound against a very beatable Kings team.

JR will be doing his best MF Doom impression tonight and we will see how his mask hurts him, if at all.  Melo needs to use tonight to get back on track as he disappeared in the second half of the team’s loss in OKC.

The Kings have a pretty solid two-headed monster in Isiah Thomas (boooo) and Demarcus Cousins, but the Knicks always do well stopping fast point guards and opposing big men, so they should be fine…

This is the team’s final game before the All Star break, so a victory over a 17-win Kings team is somewhat of a must.

The Knicks projected lineup:  Shumpert, Carmelo, Tyson Chandler, Prigioni, Felton.

The Kings projected lineup:  Rudy Gay, Jason Thompson, Boogie Cousins, Marcus Thornton, Isiah Thomas (boooo).

UPDATE:  No JR tonight…said his mask needed refitting and so he will sit tonight.

Melo can't do it all, his Team crumbled yet again

putting the burden on his shoulders to deliver on tired legs

Stat was the only player giving us something but while everyone stood around and watched it made him getting double teamed easier

Prigioni should now end games his IQ is far superior than Felton and i trust his shot better

hell all the bricks Felton threw up Beno would've made.

Felton cost us this game, as did Woodson's Coaching.

Why are some of y'all Knicks fans so surprise the King has beaten us???

The Kings have beaten Heat, Portland, Rockets (twice), PHX (Twice), Raptors, Dal, Bulls, etc...those are all teams better than the Knicks.

Y'all need to stop!!

Must win, against the Kings. I knew we was doomed once he said that

Can fans demand a trade? Does it still have to be within 20% of salary plus $100k or whatever?

Where is biggie to join the festivities?

Ok Melo defenders, Melo surely needs a PG like Westbrook or CP3 to beat the mighty Kings. I have no idea how the Cavs beat the Kings last night or the other 6 consecutive teams id it before playing in their house.

I would say that we have big issues with our team starting with the front office, coach and players.  Imo, Melo needs to go search for a ring elsewhere while we rebuild with youth in the next 2-3 years.

THjr was a -28 (plus/minus) for the game...small ball is not the answer!!

Woodson did look like a beaten man during the one minute that MSG aired of his post game press conference.  None of the false bravado we usually see.

Maybe he knows he's gone.

As ice-t said in Trespass, it's time to blow this isht up and burn it to the ground. Time to blow the whole thing up. I want woody gone so fast our collective heads will spin

We lost our lead with a small ball line up of Amare, Prig, Felton, THjr and Melo...that gave them the energy to win the game.

Plus, playing Melo every minute after half time.

Woody is so full of shizz Iman and JR not playing is the reason?????? This is the worst team in the West and we couldn`t put them away, a disgrace

If he doesn`t get the axe by tomorrow, what we say is what we will get for the remainder of the debacle called 2013-14 season. This is shocking. There is no belief in this team that they are going to win. Ray and Stat do not play defense. Our offense is about a CYO B league level. Everyone on the roster (that played) had breakdowns. Right now this a beaten team, the mismanagement of the players is unconscionable. Night all

Melo played but 5 minutes the entire game...then we expect him to have his leg in the 4th quarter,

Especially when Woody have him banging with a PF (because of small ball)in the early part of the game, then he has to use up more energy guarding Rudy Gay.

Anybody would be tired after all that...

Small ball is not wining anything with this Knicks team...TRUTH

@Jerry Gee  Melo was the best big shot maker percentage wise for his first 8 years in the NBA...FACT!!

He has struggled over the last season and a half!!

@zdiddy4nyk Dude, The Kings have lost their last 7 games on the road and played last night losing to the lowly Cavs by 10.  Do you have any respect for yourself trying to peddle that b.s?

@kneggyknik In 2010, Biggie went into the Prediction Business.  Since 2011, Biggie has been living solely on Foodstamps!

@zdiddy4nyk Wow! It didn't take long before the AB angle got defused lol

We don't win enough to have any theory for winning.

It's time for the big fella. He would hear none of this isht. Jimmer Fredette would be leaving on a stretcher - not a career high

You mean iso ball. When you move the ball well' you have success. This team is so dumb, they go away from everything that worked.

@Jerry Gee @zdiddy4nyk

8 years of being the best shot maker is far greater than 11/2 years of struggling...math 101

zdiddy4nyk
zdiddy4nyk

@Jerry Gee

Melo is the 2nd highest paid player on the team. How many big shot is our highest paid player making?   In his first year in NY...Melo was still the best shot maker in tghe NBA, percentage wise.

zdiddy4nyk
zdiddy4nyk

@Jerry Gee

Math 10...

8 years is far greater than 1.5

You can't say someone is not a big shot maker, when they were the best percentage wise for 8 years...period!!

zdiddy4nyk
zdiddy4nyk

@Jerry Gee @zdiddy4nyk  If you are the best big shot maker for 8 year, but struggling for 1 year and half...common sense should tell you that 8 years is greater than 1 year and half...SMFH!!

@zdiddy4nyk YIKES The Heat lost to the Kings in Sacramento not in Miami.  The Kings have sucked on the road and they played last night and lost. You make no sense FACT!

@Kiyan Carter Oh yeah the team that just beat us?

Dude, to say that we can't rebuild is sheer nonsense. What other real option we have?  Do you think a ring will come to us by making excuses that Melo doesn't not have another superstar?

We should be ready to go after proven talent by 2015 or 2016. Unitl then, develop our youth and try to get young player that may be keeper or used to get a nice missing piece we may need when we go after  proven stars.
