Carmelo Anthony makes his return to Denver, where he once resuscitated a franchise and invented Pepsi One. Now, he’ll enter the Pepsi Center as a member of the New York Knicks, as the two teams will duel for the upper hand in a trade that altered the fortunes of both franchises, with both teams agreeing that whoever wins tonight’s game officially won the trade, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Ok, that’s really not true, and instead, it’s just a relatively important game for the Knicks as they get set for the second of a difficult five-game stretch out west. After one of their worst performances of the year in an ugly loss to Golden State, they’re looking to bounce back against a deep and athletic Nuggets team that’s been a bear to beat at home all season.

This game is less about whether it was wise for the Knicks to acquire Anthony in the first place, that question has mostly been settled, but it’s definitely one where we’ll be eagerly watching to see how he looks, as concerns begin to mount over the relative health of Melo’s ailing knee.

Will be good to see Gallo, though, always did like that goofy son of a gun.

Anyway, should be a good one, hope you don’t mind staying up late.
