Our real Knicks Fans, Kiyan, Biggie, Melostat01 and etc are like a updated version of the Groundhog, everytime they see us win a game, they come out and predict ECF and when we lose a game, they stay in hibernation.

I guess even some Groundhogs wear a Helmet too!

If Shump, Chandler and Melo recently had the flu; it's not beyond possibility that the rest of the team isn't feeling well either.  It is quite contagious.

The team definitely looked like they all belonged in the infirmary tonight.  Completely lethargic.  I can't believe they would otherwise look this bad against a Lakers team this terrible.  They don't even have Steve Blake anymore FFS!  It would also explain the relatively decent start before the terrible collapse.  You don't have a lot of stamina when you have the flu.

I don't think phil wants Melo on the knicks based on his style of play. The convo with phil probably consist how I cant give u a winner next season but 2015 plus. Melo ain't buying that. We need a more vocal leader

When Phil J, in his MSG intro and with the Knicks on the cusp of a win streak, talked about the Knicks making the playoffs - I figured he was sealing Woody's fate and giving himself an excuse to let him go when that didn't eventually come about.  I'm guessing that Phil never expected it to happen so soon.

The entire team sucks and for all the Woody and Melo defenders, please stop it from here on out.  Melo has his 29 pts in 3 /12 qtrs and that is that.  Melo is a scorer folks!

@xmenreturn

Well, it should have been a red flag when they kept repeating "Player X/Knicks is back!" so many damn times...

I mean, if the Knicks are back so many times, why do they keep leaving?

Or msybe they're not a good team. It's not like the Knicks are the ony team in the league afflicted by the flu bug. 51 points in the third quarter to that bunch? Completely inexcusable and utterly embarrassing.

Maybe if we're lucky Woodson gets the flu (nothing serious, juat enough to keep him in bed for a week), and Phil can coach the team while they're out west.

@Buck50 The eissue is that Pringles is where he is and Woody is where he is!  Both are not good coaches if your team plans to go anywhere in the playoffs.

The only thing is that Pringles has a so-called offensive system whereas Woody's coaching is just offensive!

@Jerry Gee Our entire season has consisted of losing streaks outside a few short winning ones.  We're just in the norm now.

@Buck50 Melo is gone man!  Phil knows he can't build around Melo in a triangle!  Dude not a leader and he's surely not the smartest player that plays both sides of the ball.

@xmenreturn

Melo "leads like Tim Duncan" SMDH...now that's insulting

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@Sandro Guedes @BigChiefTriangle Yep, like "in the triangle, you have to pass the ball and think for a change, move without the ball..........and oh yeah, take a 5M+ pay cut to stay here.  are ya on board Melo?"

BigChiefTriangle

@xmenreturn @BigChiefTriangle

Just would be interesting to hear what was said.  I think people completely misinterpreted Phil's opening press conference if they thought it was nothing but glowing praise for Carmelo.  Phil talked about the importance of ball movement, player movement, and system basketball.   He only really praised Carmelo as an "isolation scorer".  He then spoke of how Melo showed he could "play a role" during the Olympics.

Just my opinion of course, but that doesn't sound like someone who values Carmelo at $120M over 5 years.

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@Sandro Guedes @newyorker9LMFAO!  Kiyan will be here tomorrow saying Melo got 29 pts so what do you want him to do? He can't do it all himself.  Same ol B.S.

I said Melo has the same type of personality as Duncan. Both are introverted.

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@BigChiefTriangle Yep, so true man!  Just because you're not very local does not mean you're not a leader.  Some get it twisted.

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@BigChiefTriangle Yep, HPil has to speak well of his players in public. He would be dumb not to.  Other players are not coming here when the GM publicly speaks poorly of players and so-called superstars.

Yet, Phil likes smart players that are students of the game.  No way Phil covets Melo for max dollars in a Lt term contract to build around. Melo is a super talent not a superstar to Phil imo.

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@Buck50 Ywah man, I like Master Lin too and it was a fun time for us when we had hi,. But in no way would I have resign Lin for that contract he signed with the Rockets.

Yet we needed to upgrade our PG situation. We brought in many backup PGS for sure.

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@Buck50 Yep what MWP stated about Melo on the Boomer radio show was very telling. He stated that Melo is a very talented player but he does not hold others accountable like Kobe or MJ do.  He's not a leader vocally or otherwise.

This team surely stinks not because of Melo bit Melo does not have it in him to lead a team outside his own scoring.

BigChiefTriangle
BigChiefTriangle

@Knicks_Fanatic

In a conversation about how Melo leads, no?  I thought you had also stated before that Melo leads like Tim Duncan? (Quietly taking his teammates aside to explain something, etc.)

xmenreturn
xmenreturn

@Knicks_Fanatic Dude, you're not watching how they play man and you surely are not paying attention to what Duncan brings to the table on that team.
