JR will return as the masked assassin and bring the Knicks back to relevance after the break.

Ok, it's  a long shot but what else is there to hope for? Dolan promised everyone their jobs for life.

Hearing that Knicks are trying again to re-engage Denver and sell Nuggets on idea of trade built around Shumpert-for-Faried before deadline

Why?????? Faried isn't really that good.  Point Guard is only necessity at this point.  With this deal, all Woodson will say is the East is big man.

Sorry if I am late to the show but the Wizards are interested in beno udrih or andre miller.

Who here believes Rondo will be a Knick after the deadline?

Holy God we are laughable.

Melo's team was down 3, and coaches agreed he got fouled taking a triple. Went to line, & missed first 2. But coaches let him take 4 shots.

@akamarb Both PG's have been on a really good run. Lowry's APG 7.5 vs 6.2 and RPG 7.5 vs 6.2. Could make him particularly favorable to a team like the Knicks, who have the lowest APG rating and are poor rebounders. Both are nearly even on steals at 1.6. for Lowry and 1.4  Dragic.

However, Dragic is Avg 20.3 PPG over Lowry's 16.7, shooting .508 from the field and .410 from three. All while playing 1.7 less minutes. Dragic is the more efficient player.

Lowry is really a good rebounder and defender at 6 0" but Dragic is 6 3" and sphelt at 190 lbs vs 205 lbs. I think  Dragic will simply fair better physically, in the long haul. I'm a little skittish about the dumpy and undersized PG's with The Knicks. Felton is the last in a lineage. Hell, I'd take a Reggie Jackson, Collison, die for a  Westbrook, but Dragic will have to do. I desperately want to take a new direction. One with some height and less weight at the point, if I can.

With that said, Dragic or Lowry would be a significant upgrade at the point and I'd be genuinely happy with either. I'm simply favoring Dragic, a tad more.

Lowry is Felton 3.0 and Dragic is fashioned in a Kidd/Nash archetype. The later are both future HOF PG's, NBA MVP's, All-Stars and a few Division and a NBA Championship between them.

Dragic just went for 34pts and 10 assets vs GS on Saturday.

I like the short and long term prospects of Goran Dragic as the PG for the Knicks and would choose him between the two.

@akamarb That my friend may get ya to the 2nd round.  There's a thing called a bench!

@akamarb  If the Knicks strike out on Rondo, they should target Blendsoe next.  Toronto wants way to much for Lowry.  At least the suns needs Chandler, so it would be easier prying eric away cause of how well dragic has been for the suns.

@akamarb I agree he hasn't lived up to his potential, but worse than Felton?? I beg to differ

@akamarb  Dude Shump has sucked don't get me wrong, but felton is the worst of them all.

@Kiyan Carter Our entire team doesn't know about hot hand. Even if players are left on the court that are on, our other players won't keep going to them unless the name is Melo.

@orlando_knickfan  They'll do anything to keep this guy. Even kissing his butt in practice and letting him win. What a joke.

@akamarb  Wouldnt u rather Jeremy Tyler play over Faried?  I would. Kid can be a stud on this team.

@kneggyknik @rgm891  Making stories out of nothing.  I doubt the knicks make a deal including a shump without getting a pg in return.  Lol but who knows.

@akamarb. I totally agree!! Dumbass Dolan, the wanna be GM, screwed that up badly, and Walsh takes a lot of blame on this site!!! SMH

@Biggie @rgm891  Haha for sure man.  I am all for keeping melo because I believe with the right coach and set of players we can def win a chip and compete on a daily basis.  Just the thought of giving him 130 million is a scary thought.  Anything can happen in this league and if he turns into another Amar'e  that will be devastating.

@thatsagoodpoint @rgm891  I don't see how Ainge gives us rondo without the knicks offering a deal they can't refuse.  They did a deal with the Nets, but I don't know what to believe anymore.

@MeloStat301 Here u r again making excuses! hahahaha  Does Melo not have the proper practice gear or players to beat the other scrimmage team?

orlando_knickfan
orlando_knickfan

@MeloStat301 Yes, and what you do in practice translates to the court.  You think the Bulls just play defense in the game and not in practice? I'm bored, there is no game tonight, no juicy rumors so yes, practice.

@akamarb  What up bro?  I hear ya but that that team will not go far.  Indy would still pummel us. We would have a better time with the Heat though.

@akamarb  I dont think the suns will trade dragic by the way he's playing.  But who knows.  Either would be a solid addition. I just think it's easier to pry eric away.

rgm891

@akamarb  Obviously we would add more the deal such as taking Okafor off the books for them and adding players such as shump/felton.

rgm891
rgm891

@akamarb  They are 6th in the west man. That's a solid year so far for them. Plumlee has been not playing so well as of late, they stated they're looking for a solid defensive center.  Chandler would be a great pickup for that team.

@akamarb

If cope was here woody would have actually played him more, all those games we lost cause of no second option on offense. Hello enter cope bang bang instant office. He reminds me of Lee Nailon.. remember him? lol - good for a few buckets and day. At that point woody would of had no choice but to play him, hence making him a "untouchable asset".

@akamarb Oh F###, you rate me below Biggie!  I'm patting myself on the head now to see what size Helmet I must be wearing!

@akamarb  Use shump in a blockbuster deal and land a pg.  That should be mills goal. Scroll down to see thatsagoodpoint trade proposal that's a fair deal.  But again will Ainge trade rondo to us?

rgm891
rgm891

@akamarb  Dude Shump doesn't make much more than felton.  Felton cannot keep anyone in front of him.  I know Shump has had lapses on offense and defense.  The kid is still young.  Felton is the problem.  He had problems in portland only player in the league who like he gains weight over the course of the year.  At least Shump still has potential.  Felton is a backup pg that should only play 20 mins at most a game if that.  He can't penetrate on a daily basis, so inconsistent with Chandler and his fail lob shots to the hoop.  Melo brings up the ball most of the time.  Shump has many years ahead of him.  He's still trying to become mentally stronger.  Felton is 29 years old.

rgm891

@thatsagoodpoint @rgm891  That deal is definately fair. I hope Mills pulls it out.  Not getting my hopes up though.  Knowing the Knicks, always expect the unexpected.  So anything is possible with this team

@Kiyan Carter I'd feel like I must be doing something wrong which is what Melo is doing.

I stated time and time again that Melo does not use his body correctly when getting contact and he rarely sell it like many others.

You can't go to the hoop squared up like you're playing against your little kid brother to get the calls he wants.

@xmenreturn @Kiyan Carter  This team lacks discipline and mental toughness thus you get all the mental breakdowns during games. I wonder if Woodson is as demanding in practice as he should be with this group.

xmenreturn

@Kiyan Carter My pt was that practice is very important as well.  You do dumb things in practice there's a good chance it will occur in the heat of the moment in a game.

Guys like MJ, Bird took practice very seriously.
