Bring back Nate Robinson and W.Chandler for JR Smith.Knicks need scoring and a PG and Nate is a scorer who can play the point.

as long as dolan runs the knicks there is no hope for a team that is capable of being a legitimate contender and the fans had better get used to that reality.

with dolan in charge ny is a joke and rightfully so, a great franchise and fan base has been saddled with the worst curse possible, any other franchise would make the owner pay economically but the knick fans are too loyal to a fault, their own.

I can't take it.  The Knicks suck and I don't think any of us thought it would be this bad.  I knew we would miss Jason Kidd but I thought we got more weapons, MWP, a lot of the same core is returning, Prigs can replicate what Jason did...we might lose a few more games but this is a total collapse.  Chandler getting hurt early certainly hurt us but then again, who's fault is that?  We've overplayed him the entire time he's been here and he's never had a real back up.  Come on!  We could have signed a big man as a back up when we signed Chandler...someone from the D-League and by now he could have been developed.  But that is the problem with this franchise. The idea of developing players is foreign to them.  Take a look at the young talent we've shipped our or gave up for nothing the last 4 years.

David Lee, Nate, Gallo, Wilson Chandler, Mosgov, Lin, Copeland, Shawne Williams (not young but was good for us), Ariza, Anthony Randolph...not to mention TONS of draft picks.

Now a lot of these players we gave up for Melo.  And I'm ok with that although Dolan intervened when we had leverage and made us give up more than we needed to.  But Copeland and Lin in particular we gave up for nothing and that is a shame.  I'm sorry but Jeremy Lin was a great player.  Young, improving and he set the world on fire here.  But we gave him up for nothing cause Dolan has an ego and Lin turns the ball over some.  Ridiculous.  Instead of telling him to get the best offer he can, why not give him an offer right away and see if he takes it?  Who knows, he might have since we gave him his first shot.  But we didn't really want him.  Why?  Melo?  Win now?  Dolan?  WHo knows?  But "win now" has destroyed this franchise.  We got Melo on a 5 year deal when he was 27.  Why the need to freak out and use the amnesty on Billups (after picking up his option which was a waste)?  I don't mind the STAT signing cause that got us Melo but again, we got him cause we struck out on Lebron, which is why we only gave Nate and David Lee one year contracts.  When we gave David Lee a one year contract he was still a young unproven player.  We could have locked him up for 3 or 4 years at a very reasonable rate and we would have had a great young player.

And its not about Lee or Lin or Shump or any one player in particular.  I'm not saying a team comprised of the above players would win a championship, but its the overall attitude...the arrogance of assuming that all you need to do is sign Melo and another star in their prime and sign some other veterans and throw them on the court and you'll win.  IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.  Sure, Miami got Lebron and Bosh.  But they all ready had Wade and those guys took less to team up, which allowed them to sign dudes like Battier and Ray Allen.  And the hired gun approach for them only works cause they got the best player (both ways) in the world on their team.  Lebron makes up for a lot of holes on that team.  Every other team has to at least try to develop their young players and draft picks.  Sure you can sign a guy like Dwight Howard and Harden to your team if your Houston but they were only able to do that after making smart deal after smart deal and developing some guys.  And even then it was a big risk.  Sure, there are teams like The Kings who constantly have lottery picks and never turn into anything.  But then again, their good players leave as soon as they can cause its Sacramento.  Running The Knicks should be easy.  Its NYC!  Its a great city to live in and a great fan base to play for.  You win games and you get mad money from endorsements.  But Dolan takes all this for granted and thinks the shine of playing for The Knicks and NYC is enough to allow him to take short cuts.  Its BS.

TRADE EVERYONE EXCEPT MELO, SHUMP AND HARDAWAY AND REBUILD.  If Melo doesn't want to wait for that, then TRADE HIM TOO FOR PICKS AND PLAYERS.  A rebuild will be tough because of all we've given up for this 2010 failed experiment, but we do have useful pieces that we can trade and Melo could net us someone nice (Blake?).  And we've found guys like Lin and Copeland and Mosgov before.  Although now that Donnie and GG are gone, will we keep finding those guys?  SCREW JAMES DOLAN.  He has ruined this franchise.

We need Tyler, and they bring up Smith? Who is running this clownshow. Smith is not a pg, he is an undersized 2 guard at best. We have a dumb owner, and a dumber coach, and 1 over the hill out of shape guard, a 2nd guard the coach won`t play, and a non pg pg from the D league. We have a big (Cole ) he won`t play, and our two bench / starting bigs hurt, and our center coming back from a month off. The circus certainly is in town, and Woody is Clara belle the chief clown. Good luck Wednesday

Regarding Chris Smith:

It was cute when all he was doing was taking the contract, opportunity, and the food out of the mouths of real borderline NBA talent, but now that the roster spot is needed and the actual Knick wins/losses are at stake, the charade needs to end. Waive Chris Smith.

this organization is in such shambles it is not even funny. They might as well bring back Marbury, lol...he would be more productive than Chris Smith would be in the NBA right now..

This is the secretive Knick medical staff that we're talking about so a strained abdominal muscle can actually be a broken or cracked rib cage.

Off Topic:

If JR gets hot these next few games, Knicks need to look to trade him. He'll be a darling to the TKB community that seems to sway with the wind, but resist! The point is to sell high.

After all that, you need at least one reply.

@bockers How about cut Smith, trade the other one for 2 first rounders, bring up Tyler, play Murry and Shump at 1 and 2, with Hardaway the third guard, Start Chandler, Bargs, Melo, Shump and Murry, Cole backs up Chandler, Tyler backs up bargs, trade Metta and Beno for picks, get Kendal Marshall out of the D league, along with another small forward, get a better coach, and see what happens

@Tikki Signing C. Smith to the roster showed the rest of the roster that the FO wasn't serious about this year, and bringing him up just reinforces the farce that this season is about anything more than not turning Denver's pick into a lottery pick. The new "now year" starts 7/1/15 and nothing matters until then. Is there any wonder why the players don't seem tuned in this season?

@Chris @bockers " . . . trade the other one for 2 first rounders . . . " Really? The only team dumb enough to do that  trade already has him on its roster.
