The NBA Trade Deadline was at 3 PM today.
The Knicks were expected to not make any moves, but, sent Ronnie Brewer to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2nd Round Pick in 2014. They have also signed Kenyon Martin to a 10-Day contract to fill the roster spot freed up by the Brewer trade.
Grunwald on Brewer: "Ronnie had fallen out of the playing rotation. He's a great guy and a good player." Said Brewer didn't demand the trade—

Moving Ronnie Brewer gives pending FA a chance elsewhere and to open up a roster spot. Room to sign Kenyon Martin if necessary.—

Brewer will go for a future second-rounder. Clearing roster spot to sign a buyout guy. Also doing favor for a good guy.—
