Sam SpiegelmanThe clock is ticking for the New York Knicks to make a move to get into the first round of Thursday’s NBA Draft.
Reports indicate the team could dangle Iman Shumpert — perhaps to the Oklahoma City Thunder — in order to facilitate a deal.
The team has oft been linked to P.J. Hairston, who was expelled by the University of North Carolina in December and has since been playing in the D-League.
But another player has reportedly surfaced on the Knicks’ radar.
According to the New York Post, the Knicks are eyeing Florida center Patric Young. As a senior, Young averaged 11 points and 6.0 rebounds, and is expected to be the second-round pick.
Young worked out for the Knicks earlier this month.
