Knicks, J.R. Smith finalize four-year, $24 million deal

The Knicks and J.R. Smith have agreed to a four-year, $24 million deal, according to multiple sources.

The deal will include a player option after the third season, according to Frank Isola in the New York Daily News.

I’m shocked the Knicks committed 4 years even with the option to the enigmatic Smith, who undoubtably cost himself a ton of money this post season based on the rest of the market. Case in point is Milwaukee throwing more money at Kyle Korver than for the in-his-prime 6th man of the year.
