Knicks NBA’s Most Valuable Franchise
Brian DiMenna
Great news, folks!
According to Forbes magazine, the Knicks are the NBA’s most valuable franchise, worth an estimated $1.1 billion and just eking out the struggling Lakers whose mounting losses on the court have taken their toll on the franchise as its now valued at merely $1 billion, a paltry sum indeed.
Forbes credits the Knicks’ massive renovation of Madison Square Garden for the spike in New York’s valuation, meaning there’s a pretty direct correlation between ease of peeing at home games and a franchise’s overall value.
No word yet on how much each fan gets, but I’m pretty sure we either get $1,000 or a free t-shirt (Ed. Note: We don’t get either).
