Murry assigned to D-League

Toure’ Murry has been assigned to the Erie BayHawks and is expected to be in uniform for them on Friday night.

He will return to New York for the Knicks’ game on Saturday, the team said.

Harris Decker

Once again, this is just a formality, giving Murry a little bit of extra time in game situations. While I’d love to see more of him, it doesn’t seem to make sense given how good J.R. Smith, Tim Hardaway Jr., Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni have been playing during the current winning streak.

A commenter over at Lighthouse said Pulock is so far ahead of Griff in development at this point he's a lock to make the team next season

Maybe his team got eliminated from the playoffs so he shaved his playoff legs.

@Mark Terrin thats a sad sad mentality you got there.  and then if you scroll down you tell people to worry about the isles winning a cup.  i hope if the isles are able to go on a long run next year, you're not back here claiming you supported them all along...

many of us arent happy with the move...but you HAVE to make the most of it. dont have a choice.  you cant kick and scream like a child and attempt to boycott the team.  and if you do...you were never a real fan anyway so good riddance.

slapshot18_rs

@Mark Terrin soo you "stood behind them" for the past 15 years during the most miserable and embarrassing years of their franchise, and frankly any franchise.... and just as they are getting better you jump ship becuase they are moving to an arena you dont want them to.  doesnt sound like a fan to me, sorry.

WTF is with the Rag love?? It was an evenly played game...Both teams play stellar D, but the caps are better at burying the biscuit. P.S. Rags lost, I'm happy! It's easy to be a "class organization" as Mark puts it, when you have unlimited funds for the past 50 yrs! And for the record, it's not the players I despise, it's much of their arrogant for 0 reasons fan base. Talk to me when you win more than 1 cup every 54yrs! YOU LOST, go cry on your own site!

Mark Terrin
Mark Terrin

@erika You were probably  not alive when they won the Cups 1980-83.They honor Officer Steven Mc Donald every year at MSG.They are incredibly philanthropic with the Garden of Dreams.I was born in 1955,I started watching hockey in 1964.When the Islanders were champs. The fans were class.I started watching the Islanders in year one.Now go to an Islander and they will be losing 6-0,and the organist breaks out the if You know the Rangers Luck clap your hands. And like Jim Jones Disciipals in Guyana the masses cheer.Erika stop talking about the 4 cups. The 22 year playoff drought of winning a series is the longest in the NHL.Yeah, the former Winnpeg Jets won 2 playoff series in Arizona.Worry about the Islanders plight.Mr Wang bought the Islanders for $180 Million and sold them for $500 Million.Plus their TV Deal is one of the most lucrative in sports. They get upwards of $20 million ayear and it escalates to over $30 million a year long term.So what is their excuse for not having a fan friendly viewing party at Eisenhower Park on the Big Screen ?

Mark Terrin
Mark Terrin

@puckdad99 @erika Worry about the Islanders winning a Cup.Who cares what any other team does. When they were champions, the mind set was not preoccupied with the Rangers !!

Mark Terrin
Mark Terrin

@erika I am an Islander Fan. Spaceshutle back to Houston. The Islanders have not won a cup in 32 years PEOPLE!! And with the this great coaching staff intact there is real possibility of continued mediocrity !!

LIKE YOU HAVE TO  DO. HAVE YOU HAVE LOOKED YOUR MIRROR IN THE MIRROR LATELY,PROBABLY NOT.BECAUSE THERE IS THE BIG MOUTHED LOSER.YOU ARE NOT WORTH  MY CRAP !!!

One other thing if you are in the area of MSG take the tour it is really fantastic. The tour guides speak 7 languages and you are given the opportunity to have your photo superimposed at center ice for ice hockey ,center court if you are a  Basketball Fan,or with boxing gloves if that is your fancy. You see the Chase bridges, that hang from the roof, you go into MR Dolan's private suite and really experience all the history of MSG.There were people on the tour from all over the world.

GUYS YOU CAN HATE THE RANGERS AS MUCH AS YOU WANT,BUT THEY ARE A CLASS ORGANIZATION !! TODAY I was in midtown Manhattan this afternoon at 6th ave and 34th st and they had giant TV screens set up.They had question and answer and meet and greet sessions with Ron Greschner,Nick Fotiu,Brian Mullen And Stephane Mattau.Alyonka Larionov daughter of the great Igor Larionov was a hostess, was gorgeous and incredibly nice. This evening they were going to show the game live, and they had ample stadium seating.I was told at 7pm Ron Duguay and Steve Valiquette were going to make personal appearances. My Question tWhy couldn;t the NY Islanders done the same for the Great NY Islander fans at Eisenhower Park during this year's playoff ?

jethrono9
jethrono9

Aside of the outcome, I think it was a very good game AV just said it wasn't one of their better games, i disagree, a lucky goal of a rangers players skate is not a bad game.

@jethrono9 @Mark Terrin @time2win That is the great thing about sports. It is not about the rioting in Baltimore. It is not about the lack of respect due the very brave men and women in Law Enforcement,or about the terrorist nuts who killed in Ottawa. It is the candy store of life.

I really feel bad that the Rangers lost 1-0 tonight. Also i won another $50 bucks because the bet was the Capitals won't win more then 1 game. After watching the Chicago and Washington defense play once again defense and goaltending wins stanley cups. Man do the caps get the puck out of there zone very quickly. No panic and nobody is out of position. Like i said after Leddy,Hamonik and Boychuk the Islanders need 4 more very good defenseman. Maybe Pulock,Reinhart,Dehaan or through trades. The defense must improve. Just watch these playoffs.  Also God bless NY's finest and that cops family.

jethrono9

@mrcisback agree mrc and, I second that announcement of God Bless that Cops family, in this tragic time for them. i feel a war on the cops in this nation will escalate, over this coming summer, thanks to some left wing politicians, even in very high office.

They should take away the title of 'invisable man' from Claude Rains and bestow it upon Rick Nash, another PO series and he is nowhere to be found once again so far.

Washington is a tough team to play against, they are big and physical then if you get a quality chance you have to beat Holtbe, they remind me of the Kings

@tag1 I just cant stand listening with Pierre McGuire he is Sidney Crosbys personal BJ artist.

I was thinking the same thing about them being like the Kings. Only differences are they are not quite as fast and LAK has a proven world class goalie.

@jethrono9

Here's some stats on Ricki:

  • In eight games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year, Nash has one goal, which is the same total he managed during a 12-game playoff run with the Rangers in 2013.
  • Last season Nash scored three goals in 25 games as the Rangers marched to the Stanley Cup Final, losing to the Los Angeles Kings.
  • In 48 NHL playoff games Nash has six goals.
