The New York Knicks have interest in free-agent forward Lou Amundson, according to ESPN New York.

Amundson would add some depth to the Knicks’ frontcourt and could be one of the veteran’s willing to sign for minimum this offseason. Amundson is reportedly hoping to sign with a team next week.

ESPN’s Marc Stein reported last week that Amundson was also drawing interest from the other Eastern Conference contenders, including the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers, as well as the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings.

Last season with the New Orleans Hornets (not Pelicans just yet), Amundson averaged 1.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in fewer than 10 minutes per game. He appeared in 39 games.
