Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has said that three players are guaranteed starting spots for the Oct. 30 season-opener vs. Milwaukee: Raymond Felton, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler.
Woodson must decide who will land the other two starting spots.
He could go big with a starting lineup of Felton, Iman Shumpert, Anthony, Andrea Bargnani and Chandler, giving them two 7-footers in the starting five.
He could go small with a lineup of Felton, Shumpert, Metta World Peace, Anthony and Chandler, bringing Bargnani off the bench.
He could opt to put Pablo Prigioni and Felton in the backcourt and work off of that.
As our man Frank Isola recently pointed out, the Knicks went 14-1 during the regular season last year when Felton, Prigioni, Shumpert and Melo started together.
Woodson could even decide to start reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith, something he said was a possibility after Smith serves his five-game drug suspension.
With all that in mind, what do you guys think?
