On Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks (18-6) were defeated by the Houston Rockets (12-12) by the score of 103-102. Box Score
Chris Copeland led the Knicks in scoring with 29 points on 11-19 shooting from the field. He added five rebounds and two steals
J.R. Smith added 17 points on 7-13 shooting with three rebounds and Pablo Prigioni had 14 points and five assists off the bench.
James Harden led the Rockets in scoring with 28 points on 9-18 shooting and had 10 rebounds. Jeremy Lin had 22 points on 9-15 shooting with eight assists, four rebounds and two steals. It was Lin’s second highest scoring game of the season.
Harden and Lin combined for 50 points, the Knicks starting lineup only combined 48. 29 of those 48 came from the four starters not named Chris Copeland.
Tyson Chandler had eight points on only 3-7 shooting but did collect 18 rebounds.
This is the Knicks first loss at home this season and the 7th straight loss to the Rockets overall.
The Knicks have now given up 100 points in four of the last five games.
The Knicks are now 2-2 without Carmelo Anthony and have lost four of their six games against the Western Conference.

So, last time these two teams met in the Houston, I decided to go with a different approach to the post game. In honor of the Knicks, once again, getting beat up by the Rockets, I’m going with the same approach.
Now of course, the Knicks were missing Melo and Wallace tonight, which doesn’t help the Knicks at all. Then again, outside of Chris Copeland and J.R. Smith, nobody really helped the Knicks that much anyway.
