Prigioni to return Monday, could start

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Pablo Prigioni will play in tomorrow’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. Prigioni has been out since December 16th with a broken toe and according to Berman, Woodson is considering starting the veteran point guard.

the knicks have to come out with a take no prisoners attitude on d. sometimes they seem like they are tentative too afraid of getting a foul call. they can't play fearful today. they gotta be tough.

i think we all know if Knicks lose today..Woodson is one foot out the garden.

it's not Knicks Vs Nets it's Dolan Vs Proky

Woodson will start Prigioni and play him 40 minutes so he gets hurt again, after which he will again blame injuries for the team's horrible play

Shouldve kept the same starting 5 when we was on those 5 game winning streak.

“I don’t know who’s going to start,’’ Woodson added. "We’ve had some success last year with playing (Pablo) and Raymond both and Melo back at the 4. I’m not opposed to going back small based on what other teams do. Unfortunately we’ve been playing teams with big 4s, and Bargnani is our big four.’’

Woodson is about as bright as a blown lightbulb.

Just checking in to see if Wodson is fired. Is he fired yet?

Starting with Felton or instead of Felton?

I've got no faith in Woodson actually managing Prigs properly after being out for so long.

Yeah that makes sense. Out 1 month and just put him in the starting lineup. Woodson is a brilliant coach I tell ya.

@knickfan2 Everything that's wrong with Woodson's "coaching" is in that quote of his. The stubbornness to not go back to something you've had success with, the insistence on "playing big" because opponents play  "big", his inability to make adjustments and his insistence on adjusting to other teams instead of allowing them to adjust to you.

That's his problem, the man is not bright at all.

@kenmetskni Id prefer instead as I'm sure many would, but I bet its a return to the two pg lineup. Hope not though.

@VerySilentJay I mean, we all say what happened when Chandler came back from injury, he didn't miss a beat minutes wise.

@VerySilentJay Hey, Woodster is sure that he's good for at least 30 minutes. Maybe more

@rkj473 @knickfan2 I don't like the job Woodson has done at all this year. Coming into the season playing small ball would not have worked...

1. With Amar'e, Bargs and K-Mart, you have a logjam at the 4. Adding Melo to that mix, starting at the 4 made no sense.

2. Playing small back fired on the Knicks in the Playoffs. The idea was to add a big who can help you compete with Indy. I think the Knicks best front court combo this year has been Bargs at the 5, K-Mart at the 4 and Melo at the 3. But, K-Mart can't stay healthy. Plus with the money owed to Chandler, no way he comes off the bench.

I would look to move Chandler in a deal that brings back a PG. I'm not a fan of Perkins, but I would take Perkins if it brought us back Reggie Jackson. Perkins can bang physically with Hibbert too. Perkins also expires the same year Tyson does. My 1st choice is Rondo but I doubt the Knicks have enough to acquire him. Chandler needs to be on a contender and he would improve OKC. The Knicks need to get more athletic at PG. Reggie can ball and will only get better. Also this can allow the Knicks to push the pace more on Offense. I'm not ready to give up on Shump. I think he would be a lot more successful in an uptempo offense.

3. I totally understand why the Knicks traded for Bargs. They wanted to get bigger and have a stretch 4 that can draw those bigs in Indiana out of the paint. On paper it was a good move minus all the picks we traded for him. I honestly feel a better coach would get a lot more out of Bargs than Woodson has. Bargs can play in the post as well. I feel the Knicks would be better offensively if they gave Bargs looks in the low post instead of having him camp out at the 3 point line. They also need to use him more in the pick and pop. He has a good mid range game.

This roster was not assembled correctly. If they can find the right trade, the Knicks can start the clean things up and build something positive for the future. Whether Melo stays or not, something needs to be done. Don't give away guys for crap and don't trade away any more picks, unless it's for Rondo lol.

@rkj473 @knickfan2 Okay. I agree with you to a point. Woody is an awful coach. How can you lead if you can`t make decisions? Pablo is a better pg, but he has been out for a whike and should be brought back carefully. Ray is a better 2 then 1, but that isonly on the O end. He gets killed by decent 2s or o

1s on defense. I don`t want Melo playing inside and getting beat up. And lastly is he committed to big because Bargs is CAA? that is frightening
