Tommy DeeThe name Quentin Richardson brings up all sorts of memories for Knicks fans. I actually really liked Q in D’Antoni’s offense but he seemed out of place because he was the only one who cared even a little about hitting someone. I loved Q and how he competed in Orlando in the 2010 playoffs.
Well the guy is back and my guess is that he’s going to play. Who’s minutes will he take is anyone’s guess, but knowing Woodson I’d think the Shumpert’s minutes will take a hit if Q-Rich has anything left in the tank. Kudos to Knicks management for not dealing Shumpert at the deadline and getting a player, if this works out, who can provide playoff snarl and the necessary shot making in big game situations.
Richardson is rested and is only 33, he can make some shots (.397% career in playoffs) and he can definitely play defense with some physicality.
Ask KG and Pierce.
