Any ideas who we could trade JR for?  Has to be for someone unwanted, whose salary is close.  Ideas?

Mine: OJ Mayo or Caron Butler - neither is playing much for Milwaukee, each make 8mil (OJ for 3 yrs, Caron for 1).

There would have to be a 3rd team, as no way the Bucks want JR near their youth.

And therein lies the rub - there are very few teams veteran enough to handle JR's head.  Spurs and Heat are pretty much the only ones I can think of, and they are verrry iffy.

Seriously, JR's attitude is so toxic right now we might even have to waive him.  I hope he gets his act together, because that would be a horrible burden on our salary cap.

Talk about wearing down his players, Thibs made Jimmy Butler a 60 minute man in a 3 OT win tonight.

Been busy coachin and teachin, but time to rag on my  Man DAW. 1. He cost us the game straight up by letting is duffus ego to keep JR, (who played well last game ) on the bench. Then he plays Ray and Ray play def like a sieve. He plays Murry for a spell, Murry lookin pretty good so he takes him out, so he don`t get embarrassed for sitting a man  that can defend . Then he tells Tyler he gonna git some burn, and instead runs Chandler who is still sick, into the ground and lets a middle of the road center look like an efing super star. Don` blame the playas, it sits squarly on the shoulders of El Idioto coacho

the knicks will always be an fragmented franchise as long as dolan continues to meddle in the day to day running of the team.

no quality gm will consider working for him as long as he refuses to let the bb people run the show and his word isn't worth much in today's nba, as long as the seats are filled with bodies he will never change his stripes and empty seats might not even force this megalomaniac to do whats best for the franchise and the loyal fans.

there will be changes made but they will be superficial and only meant to bring in more yes minions to tell dolan what a great bb man he is, money can get a diluted owner the things he wants to hear as long as he hires the right yes soldiers and those are the only people available to this maniacal owner.

dig in for the long haul people because the light at the end of this tunnel is further away than any of us realize.

Can we trade JR back to China? Any decent point guards in China?

I know that Woody isn't the best coach in the league, but given the other options out there at this point, this is the best we can do.  At least he's holding JR accountable and hasn't let this spiral out of control.  I do respect him for not publicly airing out what is going on in the locker room.  If this were _'Antoni, this would be a complete soap opera.

"I think it is a privilege to wear a uniform in this league," Woodson told Smith (SAS) and Ruocco. "There's only 30 teams. There's [only] so many players on each team. I think every player has a responsibility and has to be held accountable for what they do on a ballclub."

Trade JR to GS for Marshall Brooks

I want Andre Miller instead of Jr, but if we can't do it, then forget about it

@BiggieSmalls

They are 2x-defending NBA champs and #2 in the East . . . context.

PS - I think a team in Miami's position (2x champs and 3 perennial All-Stars, one of whom is the best player in the NBA, under contract) can afford to trade away 2nd-rounders for tax purposes.

@cole3244 Agree, Dolan is an efing idiot in basketball  I Q, he does have the ability to hire people to advise him on how best to make a profit

@BiggieSmalls That "first" actually becomes a second because it's lottery protected from the Sixers for the next two years. guess other teams understand how to protect their picks before giving them away.

D'Antoni would instead air his grievances through the media, with nary a word to the player.

I don't hate the idea I think we need a extra scoring boost, I mean if jr was playing at 6th man of the year level we would be leading the division, putting all that scoring load on Melo is a problem, so I wouldn't be opposed up moving him for a scorer type PG or SG

@ponzies86 Great another guard that cannot play defense. Imagine a Felton- Brooks back court. Open lanes to the rim all day.

@Buck50

No not really. Sports leagues are an interesting model. You need both the element of competition and cooperation to foster interest and to make the league successful.

Socialism is a word that maybe the most misused one in America. Sports in East Germany and the USSR were socialist models. They were totally run by the government.

@Buck50 a freakin 37 yr old point guard ??? ...if thats the case i rather keep him and use him later on to sweeten the pot on a TRADe that actually helps the knicks !

16 mins of NBA ball for a sick guy is 16 too many. Yes he was run into the ground he probably should even be playing right now.

@BiggieSmalls @Chris Dear Biggie. We meet again. You fail to recognize that DAW pretends to be a defense first coach. Then goes out and play guys that can`t guarfd either of us.(Assuming you a balla, if you just frontin, my bad. This is a business of grand proportions as they say. So as a Coach, and the adult in the room (research suggests that Stars have arrested development (not the group) about at the age they become stars (ie Justin Beiber is still 14 ect, JR is still 18, DAW was neva a sta, a playa, but neva a ata. So he should be the betta man so to speak, he should be able to talk hin down, reason with him git him to be less contrite and get his azz on the court the next game , no go hissfit that JR truthed him and let his emotions take ova. Thgis + fotgittin about Murry cost us this game. Oh yea talk to pizzed of Tyler about being promisid burn and gittin none, and we have an efing moronic idiot coaching this team. As dumb as the owna who lets this wack coach. My 14 yr old pg is smatta then either one

@biggiesmalls nah the mistake was not leaving beno in and putting fat azz felton back in

Why are you lying? The link isn't spam! and it wasn't suppose to be any commercial, what are you talking about? Cities should fund stadiums? Why? You can't force anybody to do anything! But our government is corrupt n they just force hard working people to fund it! It's so sad. .they don't even lower prices for things! It's so criminal, but you guys can't see it. Force is wrong.

Juan Maldonado

Youre crazy! You see what happens when you create a union? You got one guy who probably never played in his life as the commissioner! The commissioner to me is just like the President, a dictator! Why you think sports are getting so soft? The people controlling the sport only care about money, so you got guys being fined for just showing a emotion! Thats like a police state( 1984 type stuff), the nfl too. Its a joke. You got congress calling up baseball players for steroids! And these guys are thieves n murderers, lecturing sports players! Lmao. I love sports, but i hate corruption. These guys are billionaires, but they need tax payer dollars, just to build their stadium? And they use eminent domain which is unconstitutional. You guys need to open your eyes. It should be optional if you want to join the union, you cant force me! Look at the one guy who worked for the union, he was stealing money, taking his family out on vacations! Thats what happens when you give people power over other people! All the commissioners are dictators, just like Bush n Obama

Buck50

Have you even clicked on the link? They are socialist! This is not capitalism, this is crony-capitalism. The people pay for almost everything and because the government is in bed with corporations, they can do whatever they want! Why you think the NFL added tsa pat downs at games? We live in a police state n sports is just like the roman gladiator games, made to distract us. Now that's not my beef( being distracted), what is is that we're being used by these owners, to fund their private jets n mansions. They don't care about us, just like our government. Check the link man, if you have 3minutes! That's all I'm asking. The nets stadium was built unlawfully! They claimed eminent domain and kicked people out of their homes! You think jayz cares? He's a puppet for the illuminati fam, but I guess we all are, it's just how big a puppet do you want to be? I love capitalism, it's what made this country beautiful, but this isn't it. This is theft. Click the link y'all

I agree. But I also see it as owners minimizing their risk by use of tools such as the CBA where mutual/collective ownership interest are advanced/preserved. Also of course maximizing the gains- by sharing them via the new CBA that allows for revenue sharing. The NBA ownership interest advnaced through the new CBA is consistent with capitalism, it's just negotiated and set up in the CBA.

I can't believe you love Karl Marx! What has happen to this country? People are being brainwashed man. Our found fathers created one of the greatest documents ever! The constitution.... Force is wrong. Taxes are unconstitutional my friend. The IRS , the fed, the FBI, all unconstitutional! Our country has been taking over, we're at war!!!

@Sandro Guedes

Boston has added Rondo (soon) and Bayless to their backcourt and traded Lee, Crawford and Brooks, plus they got 2-3 draft picks. They made their team better. The tanking escapes me.

Crawford is on his 4th team in 4 years. If he was really a player, he would have stuck somewhere.

Knicks_Fanatic

@Sandro Guedes

No one got ripped in this trade. Each team got want they wanted. Miami saved tax money, Boston got picks, and the Warriors upgraded their bench.

@biggiesmalls what ?

@BiggieSmalls

There is certainly a risk with trading away future assets, even 2nd-rounders. But it's easier to live with that risk when you still have the best player in the NBA, a top-5 shooting guard, and an all-star big man under contract, as well as the #2 seed in the East with no competition.

No one claims it was a great move.  But it's not one that I'd consider particularly costly, given that the Heat still own all their 1st-rounders besides the 2015 pick.

@BiggieSmalls @melo7 Imo, no excuses. Seeing as how this was probably the easiest game from the entire stretch, you had to take it, especially considering the 2 tough games ahead and then playing a Nets' team that's trying, like us, not to suck.

Yesterday was a needed W. And both the coaching staff and palyers came up way short.

The workers own the means of production? Lmao, makes no sense. You must not be a business owner. Free market capitalism is what made this country beautiful, but now we're a socialist country. Don't worry we will take our country back!

Caroline Rios
Caroline Rios

Ofcourse there's property! That's just common sense! If not give your kids, give me your car, give me your shoes, you see where I'm going? Socialism is what's ruining this country, not capitalism! You guys are crazy! Promoting socialism in America lol.... Insane.

i have also read Marx (many happy returns,Groucho and me,why a duck?etc.)

Knicks_Fanatic
Knicks_Fanatic

@Juan Maldonado

Yes, I do know what socialism is and have read Marx. Basically there is no private property, no social classes, and the workers own the means of production. So you wouldn't have any owners. You wouldn't have any corporations. You wouldn't have any millionaires. You wouldn't have players making huge salaries. In theory, everyone would own everything. In practice, it hasn't worked so well.

Socialism is not the redistribution of wealth. It is common ownership of private property. What you are incensed about is capitalism. It is about the power of wealth, accumulated through a free enterprise system, being used to further more wealth via transfer in an upward direction.

Juan Maldonado
Juan Maldonado

Karl Marx!? Lmao, what are yousmoking? Do you even know what socialism is? Its redistribution of wealth.... these owners are corporate welfare recipients. Straight up! Under the constitution the government isnt allowed to do anything a regular person cant do. So what does that mean? Its theft to take money from people just to fund whatever. Weather thats war, sports, Medicaid, etc. Youget the point? Watch the video n then talk to me

@Buck50

Ever heard of a guy named Karl Marx? He espoused the theories of socialism.
