Toure’ Murry drawing interest from Heat

Sam Spiegelman

The Heat, Jazz and Clippers have all showed an interest in signing free-agent guard Toure’ Murry, ESPN New York reported.

The Murry news comes on the heels that the Knicks came to terms with No. 34 overall pick Cleanthony Early, who like Murry also played his college hoops at Wichita State.

Murry averaged 2.7 points and 2.5 assists in 7.3 minutes per game last season for New York, and is worthy of getting re-signed. If not, he will certainly find himself on an NBA roster elsewhere.

Wonder if NBA will give Pacers an exception to use just like the Nets got for Lopez

Could use to sign Marion

So looks like Melo and stat both in south Africa...teammate bonding? Haha.

Only move I'd make right now is waiving Ellington and bringing in Shawn Marion. He'd be a great pick up defensively, an area where we are lacking and Ellington likely won't get PT anyways.

@TommyBeer: Andrew Wiggins, live on ESPN Sportscenter this AM: "I just want to play for a team that wants me. So whatever team wants me, I'll play for."

Looks like the Cavs will be trotting out Irving-Waiters-James-Thompson-Varejao opening night.

@Mel Brown. Looking solid... Reese always makes great picks, especially late in draft!

@Mel Brown I know it's the first preseason game, but I'm already liking the combo of him and Jennings.

@OLDKNICK3. Elton Brand for PF or Andre Blatche for Center are the only decent bigs available, IMO

@Knickname_. Not sure there's many options... Sometimes no move can be the best move..

Dr J with the New York Nets was truly amazing. I saw many on his games, on TV, and some of moves had to be seen to be believed.

The NBA does not recognize his ABA scoring. The Doctor had 30,000+ points all told. He is a one of a kind player.

Stephenson wasn't restricted; they couldn't match.

Yeah Jennings looks good.

Too bad for Wilson btw. Was a solid player. Hopefully none of his issues are too bad post retirement.

@tape @siknick Have to disagree. Brand and Marion can provide a lot for this team. I wouldn't jump to conclusions when it comes to predicting the Knicks' future.

@kofi @MeloStat301. I know Melo is, but I don't know about Stat... Hopefully he moves there, this month, and voids his contract. LOL

When Dr. J was in the ABA he barely came off the court. When he went to Philly, he played less minutes and was paired up with George McGiness, another ABA MVP and All-Star, so he also got less shots.McGinness is a forgotten player, but he was one tough PF back in the day.

The Knicks were offered Dr. J for $6 million and passed. Ray Boe, the Nets owner, needed money to pay to get into the NBA, so Philly came up with the cash.

He'll probably be forced to.
