Toure Murry, a point guard out of Wichita State University, has received an invite to Knicks training camp.
According to a tweet from Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com, the 23-year-old has not yet accepted the training camp invitation because “he’s still weighing next season options.”
Murry has starred in the NBA D-League since being chosen by the Austin Toros as the 15th overall pick in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft. After being traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in November, Murry began turning the heads of several NBA scouts.
His indecision could result from considerations he has gotten from other teams or from potential offers to play overseas for guaranteed money. Murry’s hesitance could also be because the Knicks have been considering other point guards lately, including Bobby Brown, Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair.
