“Raymond will probably be the starting point guard right now,” Woodson said. “He’s going to get first crack at it. He’s had opportunities over the years to run teams, he’s done a great job at it. And at the end of the day, it’s still about team. I don’t think anybody else on this team is going to care who starts, but Raymond will probably be our starter.”
Tommy Dee, theKnicksBlog.comHad the chance to sneak in to training camp today for a few minutes, literally, and the Knicks were working on defensive drills. I like Woodson giving the keys to Felton right away. This signifies that there is a plan starting from day one. But there is a lot of competition to earn minutes and there will be more when Shumpert returns. For the brief few minutes that we were allowed in, I have to say that I thought the vibe there was all business, teaching and togetherness. Then they sang happy birthday to Tyson Chandler.
