Tommy Dee, theKnicksBlog.comThis was always going to be a tough spot for the Knicks who played pretty inspired ball 3 of the 4 quarters but lacked legs in the third. The Grizz overpowered the Knicks up front with their impressive combination of Gasol and Z-Bo battling the boards. The Knicks struggled from the field and could not get timely stops. I really liked how, once again, they fought back in the 4th quarter. Like all sports, the NBA is a copy cat league and the Knicks frontline with Carmelo at the 4 was exposed. Attack the glass and get put backs was the Grizzlies’ game plan. Randolph got 7 offensive rebounds by himself. The Pacers’ Roy Hibbert averages over 4 offensive boards per game and David West adds another 2, so the Knicks are going to have to pay particular attention to the glass tomorrow against Indiana.
