Read somewhere Knicks might interested in Bynum, guess he can't hurt.  Assume they'd cut Aldrich, and he'd sign for the vet. Min..But I'm sure Miami will come calling and sign him immediately

Deng definitely deserves more than 9-10 mil per year

He's always injured and is a glue guy. Not "the guy". I think 10 mill is what he's worth.

While we could debate what Deng is worth, it's a moot point. As with any market, Deng is worth whatever someone is willing to pay him. He is making $14+ million this season and has been an All-Star the last two years. The Bulls offered $10 million and he declined.

If you look at player's salaries, it is fairly obvious that there is a less than adequate correlation between production and pay. You have D'Andre Jordan, Bargnani, and Javele McGee all at 10+ million. Probably Deng will get something in the $12-13 million range.

@grand_puba you go get bynum for min in a second. Thats chump change for a guy who MIGHT have something to give a team, and who cares if it doesn't work out?

This isn't eddy curry money - this is ronnie turiaf money. Why not?

@thatsagoodpoint @Seth Nadler According to the espn article that is not correct, by the end of the week he can be a free agent. Though we already had Eddy Curry, I wouldn't have had a problem with Eddy being a reserve on a vet min contract, which is what Bynum would be. He's pretty young still as well. Wouldn't fee all too bad about cutting Aldrich for him.
