No surprise here given Tim Hardaway Jr.’s performance Wednesday night, but head coach Mike Woodson told reporters the rookie has earned a spot in the rotation going forward.

The former Michigan star went for 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including the eventual game-winner, in Wednesday’s 103-102 win over the Celtics.

“I’m not really worried about playing time, I’m just trying to get an opportunity to go out there and play as hard as I can when I get the opportunity,” Hardaway Jr. said, who shot 3-for-5 from the arc.

Woodson certainly has options at the 2/3 now with Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith and Hardaway Jr. all needing playing time.

Woodson also said he plans to start the same five — Raymond Felton, Pablo Prigioni, Carmelo Anthony, Andrea Bargnani and Tyson Chandler — Friday night in Toronto when Bargnani returns to his old home.
