The Knicks have added complementary players around Carmelo Anthony. They lost Jeremy Lin, Landry Fields, Baron Davis, Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas, but added Ronnie Brewer, Ray Felton, Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni. They added Marcus Camby and lost Jared Jeffries. And word is they may also be adding Kenyon Martin, who may jump on board with the Lakers.

They’ve kept J.R. Smith and Steve Novak, and will have Iman Shumpert back later in the year. To me, they’ve improved drastically from last year, especially if Kidd and Camby can have similar years to last year. They are great complimentary pieces who, despite being on the back end of their better days, still can perform over a long season and are playoff tested.
