Final Score: Knicks 121, Magic 83

The Knicks (5-13) made it two straight blowout wins by taking down the Magic (6-13) 121-83.

The Least You Should Know

The Knicks were 17-of-34 from downtown. The team out-rebounded the Magic by +14. The bench scored 57 points.

Carmelo Anthony had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists in 30 minutes.

Andrea Bargnani had 17 points and 8 rebounds.

J.R. Smith was 5-for-9 from downtown. He finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Metta World Peace, and Tim Hardaway Jr. also scored in double figures.

Amit Badlani

FINALLY! The Knicks have strung some wins together.

The Knicks continued their torrid shooting from downtown that they started on Thursday against the Nets. And that forced the Magic to cover the 3-point line more, allowing some more easy scores for Melo and Bargs from mid-range and inside.

In the Knicks losses, they were getting no production from their bench. In the past two games, that has really turned around. They scored 57 points tonight, and that’s without Stoudemire who contributed very nicely against Brooklyn.

The big question going forward will be if this type of performance is sustainable. I’m not talking about blowing out teams by 30+ or hitting more than half of their three point attempts. For the past two games, the team came out of the gates with an attitude that we hadn’t seen before this season. That’s what needs to continue.

Next Game: The Knicks will host Jeff Green and the Atlantic Division leading Boston Celtics (9-12) at Madison Square Garden at noon on Sunday.

That Bargs trade is really looking good for us right now! I have been very happy with his play so far this year. As the chemistry grows he will get even better. Giving Melo that legit 2nd scorer in the starting line up.

Also like what I'm seeing from the guards the past few games. K-Mart has been great! Once Tyson gets back and builds chemistry with Bargs and Melo upfront, we will be pretty dangerous.

I heard melo say instead of trying to score 30 or 35 he wanted to get his teammates involved. Lol

Oladipo's gonna be one hell of a player.

He still has a lot of work to put in. But damn, he's got the tools.

@NYKnickerBocker There is a dashboard for Livefyre but the mods haven't activated it. You can even log in on Livefyre and have an avatar.

It is as if the program was installed and then they left without turning anything on.

As Biggie posted, SNY increased the 10 character limit.
