GM on Chris Copeland: Indiana offered a deal that the ‘Knicks couldn’t match’

In a conference call on Thursday morning, Glen Grunwald said he wanted to re-sign Chris Copeland, but that Indiana was smart in offering a deal that the Knicks couldn’t match, according to Nate Taylor of the New York Times.

Copeland signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Knicks last July and made his debut on November 2.

In 56 games for the Knicks last season, Copeland averaged 8.7 PPG and had a .479 field goal percentage.
