Carmelo Anthony has put forth a record-setting week at Madison Square Garden, beginning with his 62-point effort against the Charlotte Bobcats Friday. Melo followed up that performance a 35-point and 24-point outing against the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, respectively, with all three outstanding games resulting in victories.
Averaging more than 40 points per game over the past three contests, Anthony has single-handedly helped the Knicks close within two games of the No. 8 in the Eastern Conference. Overall, the Knicks are averaging a hair over 116 points per game during the win streak, about 20 points greater than their season average.
