Tommy DeeIf you’re not following Tommy Beer on Twitter you have to be. This statement is so true and it’s what separates teams in the NBA. These games are critical for playoff seeding. Yes, I know it’s just December, but they add up and Melo’s presence in the 4th quarter essentially closed out the victory. Melo had 11 points over the final 6:40 of the game to shut the door on his old team. This is the reason why you make the trade. Gallinari is a nice player, a solid player, but he can’t win you a game by himself. The game was there for the taking and Melo took it. That’s what superstars do and that’s what separates superstars from very good NBA players.
