Mike Woodson discusses job security

Less than two hours before the Knicks played their last game of the season, coach Mike Woodson discussed his job security with reporters.

“Am I the guy for the job?” Woodson said. “I’m the only guy for the job. (Hahn, April 16)

“If they bring me back, I’m going to make damn sure this kind of season doesn’t happen again.” (Hahn, April 16)

Woodson added: “Is it fair to let me go? I don’t think so. But that decision comes front the top.” (Cervasio, April 16).

Woodson would not comment on if he would participate in exit interviews with players (Begley, April 16).  He also said that he hopes to find out about his fate in the next few days (Popper, April 16).

Give Woody one more season to prove this year was just a fluke.

@BiggieTKB  Fighting? He is a primary reason we are not in the playoffs. I cannot wait until he is fired soon.

I think the primary reason we ain't in the playoffs is Felton, Smith, Chandler, Andrea, Shump. Shall I go on?

No doubt Woody shares as much blame as the players. But when all is said and done the coach can only so much. Players at times gave Max effort other times played lifeless. Better play we'd be in the playoffs.
