Post Game: Knicks 86, Celtics 92 (Knicks Lead 3-2)

On Wednesday Night, at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks (#2 Seed, 54-28) were defeated by the Boston Celtics (#7 Seed, 41-40) 92-86.

In Case You Missed It…

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks in scoring with 22 points on 8-24 shooting from the floor. He was 0-5 from three. He added seven rebounds and two assists. He was 3-17 after the first quarter.

Raymond Felton scored 21 points on 10-19 shooting from the floor. He added six rebounds, three of them offensive boards and four assists.

J.R. Smith returned from his suspension and shot 3-14, 3-8 from three, for 14 points. He added four assists and two rebounds. He started 0-10.

Jeff Green led the Celtics in scoring with 18 points on 5-8 shooting from the floor. He added four rebounds and four steals.

Kevin Garnett led the game in rebounding with 18, his third straight game with 17 or more boards, and 16 points on 5-9 shooting from the floor. He also added five assists and two blocks.

The Celtics had five players score between 18 and 16 points tonight.

The Knicks shot 5-22 from three which is good for (23%) while the Celtics were 11-22 from three (50%).

The Knicks shot under 40% from the field for the second consecutive game in this series.

This was the first Knicks loss at home since losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in early March.

This was the first Knicks loss in the post-season at home since Game Three a year ago against the Heat.

No team in NBA history has blown a 3-0 series lead and the Knicks have only blown one series (1997 Heat Series) where they led 3-1.
