Iman Shumpert will play on Tuesday night against Memphis, Mike Woodson said.

Shumpert strained his hip flexor on Feb. 12.

say the knicks don't land a significant piece, is there anyway shump could land us a first round pick?

Finally someone with some sense, Brian Windhorst.

He essentially said that Melo and Lebron should both STAY and not opt out setting up the biggest FA frenzy after next year.

Even if Melo left, he says Melo would have to wait anyway since the LAL suck, and the Bulls are unknown.

Meaning, we could put a team of melo, Lebron. Rondo together ourselves or some other combination.

Dolan put himself into the corner with the Bargs trade.  They do not have much to offer now.

Marc Berman@NYPost_Berman

Carmelo said his teammates of Eastern Conference were pulling for him to win MVP but admits Kyrie deserved it.

All except Lebron who stopped looking for him in the closing minutes LOL...too bust trying to go one on one with KD.

Off topic. I don't want to sound too critical of the staff here but there are a ton of interesting articles about our team that are not linked here. Why? When Tommy was here not one single news thread would go by without TKB posting a link and commentary on it. This was truly the one stop for all things Knicks.

If the Knicks only offering beno, felton, and Shump we not getting nothing people they gotta throw that pick in for something to change I hate it but its a pick 4yrs from now none of us would know the outcome till 2018 so why not go for it

I know this will sound nuts on the surface but what about Shumpert for Chris Kaman? May have to throw a small piece like a udrih to make it fit cap wise. But trading for Kaman, you allow Hardaway to play the 2, get more outside shooting and with Kaman you get a low post scorer next to Chandler..Felton, Hardaway, Melo, Kaman and Chandler.....2 7 footers at the 4 and 5...

Knicks are just appeasing their fans by doing their "due diligence". Nobody is getting traded. This is just so we feel like they, ya know, tried.

Personally....this is good news for me. Im not ready to give up on Shump yet. Not every player that comes in the leauge lives up to expectations the first few years. (John Wall, J.J Reddick)

Dolan makes so much money the nets owner proky would have gotten teague and like Melo said he would take a cut if it helps for 2015 but knowing Dolan he wants to pay Melo the max and give up the farm

I could care less if Shump plays I like the kid but even when he plays its like he's not there barely scoring we have no time for that been with us 3yrs and can't find his shot yet plus he misses layups

Totally OT, but interesting.....

In 1982, New York State passed legislation that providing MSG with property tax relief and a discount on its electric bill from Con Edison to prevent the Knicks and Rangers franchises from leaving New York City.

Unlike the tax breaks, Con Edison’s customers – as opposed to New York’s tax payers – pay for the discount, which is a privately-owned, for-profit entity.

In 2012, Con Edison’s customers paid about $650,000 (the value of the discount) to keep the lights on at MSG.

Last year, Con Edison said it would discontinue the “rate discount that has applied uniquely to MSG since 1982, the cost of which has been paid for by the rest of Con Edison’s customers,” according to regulatory filings.

MSG filed a complaint with the New York State Public Service Commission challenging Con Edison’s decision to end the discount.

In my opinion, the Big Apple will be a better place if MSG loses.

Dolan: Hey Ainge what you want for Rondo?

Ainge:  I want nothing you have to offer besides THJR and picks up to 2030.

Dolan: How about the LA Forum?

Ainge: Throw in your private Jet also and I will send you Rondo straight up for Felton.

Dolan: Sounds good Ainge I'll just buy a new private Jet tomorrow. Great doing business with you.

Ainge: You too......SUKAHHHHHHHHH

The question should be "Where will Shump be playing?"

@zdiddy4nyk Lowry has more trade value to the Raps than Faried does.  Also Faried has more trade value to Denver than Shump does.

onewhoknix

@zdiddy4nyk I think the point would be to give Lowry a big guy to play off of right? Maybe Amir Johnson for Farried

barnaby87
barnaby87

@Biggie LOL, 3 firsts for Rondo?  I know they're late round 1sts, but that's insane.  I would hope to get back CP3 at that value.

@Darwin Hernandez  I agree.   There is a article in buckets calling for a new starting line-up of Prigs, Tyler, THJ, Melo and Chandler.  Certainly worth talking about although it is extremely unlikely that the coach would buy into this type of creativity.

rkj473
rkj473

@SheSaidSpikeWho  That' my thinking. Fans get all worked up about possible trades or firings but nothing has happened yet.

If Woodson was fired already, I could understand. But this man is still the coach of a 20-32 team, he should not be involved in any decisions the teams makes moving forward.

That why, trades at this point seems a long shot. The front office is poor. All they have to show so far for a 20-32 team is waving Chris Smith and signing Tyler.

John wall was producing when he came in his jump shot got lethal over the years shump regressed

rkj473

@chuco  Hard to score when your starting point guard don't pass you the ball.

chuco

@biggie I hope so I love Shump but let's keep it real he got more than enough passes time to move on

onewhoknix

@barnaby87 @Biggie The name of the game is to win a championship. All potential moves leading up to that chip doesn't matter if its possible. The Pacers would be going all in but with great reason and as an Indy fan I don't think I could blame my management for doing so. There window is now and Rondo would make them ridiculous

rkj473
rkj473

@zdiddy4nyk  This. Everyone realizes, at least I do, that Melo is very effective when he knows what he wants to do as soon as the ball is passed to him. Whether its a QUICK drive or a mid-range shot or and open 3-point attempt. That's where is at his best.

JR is best when he catches and shoots the ball and not all the needless dribbling for a fade-away jump shot or he holds the ball.

These players are clearly more effective when they have LESS decisions to make on the court. It's the reason why Felton's job on this team is obsolete because he just passes the ball to them and runs to the corner. He doesn't set them up or make plays to set them up. I have no idea why he is the starting point guard on this team.

A play-making point guard would do wonders for this team.

@illmatix LOL!...The Moz!! O my!!  "No moz!" "No fields!  Did you see fields at the rookie sophomore game?  Hes a big time player!"

@illmatix  History repeats itself man. This was spot on.  It's so true.

@onewhoknix @barnaby87 @Biggie  i don't think there window is now at all.  Pacers are a very young team expect David West.  Theres gonna be a elite team for years to come.  I think there window is in a couple of years when Miami and San Antonio aren't as good

orlando_knickfan

@anthony G. Decesare  I don't care what SHump is doing this year, but there  is NO WAY ON earth I am trading a 25 year old with up-side for that aged borderline scrub center.

rkj473
rkj473

@zdiddy4nyk  Well, I cannot say I disagree with that thinking. However, I you asked me to choose between having Prigs or Felton as the starting point guard? There is no doubt in my mind I am choosing Prigs.

rkj473
rkj473

@zdiddy4nyk @rkj473  I think Prigs is an excellent complimentary player at this time in his career. I wish he was younger, but even at his age he is much better than Felton.

There is no reason 3 point guards on this team shouldn't be playing roughly around the same minutes, when the all give you basically the same thing. Felton has become a bigger culprit to just passing the ball to JR or Melo with 5 seconds left than anyone on this team. And he is our starting point guard. I really don't get Woodson's love affair with Felton at the point.

chuco

Damn I can't keep banking on that we wanna win Melo wanna win Shump might have to find his mojo else where if the price is right no???

I agree...I also think he has to work on his ball handling.

Im not comparing player's...I'm just giving examples.

chuco

Yea but he's not as bad as Shump wall could take it to the basket Shump won't even attempt to drive to the basket which he is talented to do so but all in all wall still produced and his shot improved
