I was fortunate to be able to sneak away from things and spend a few minutes at practice and there wasn’t much going on. When the media got in there was some drills going on but most of the rotation players were getting treatment. I did get the chance to witness Kelenna Azubuike’s side session. I have received multiple questions, emails and tweets about the subject. To me, and I don’t like to speculate on injuries and timetables, but from the people who I trust who I talk to it seems as if Azubuike is progressing very slowly. I don’t know if there was any set back, but I’ve been in practice and he was putting more strain on the knee and pushing himself harder than he was today. The video below was a light shooting drill with no elevation and it lasted the entire time we were there.
Gallinari is doubtful for tomorrow, and Ronny Turiaf will start in his place. Didn’t seem as if Randolph would crack the rotation, but nothing definitive at this point. It should be noted that D’Antoni was not in his chipper, joking mood, that I’ve noticed when I’ve been around him as you can see.
