Marbury Decides Against Scrimmaging; Denied From Lincoln

In an interesting twist to the Marbury saga, Steph has decided to refrain from scrimmaging with the team, instead allowing Anthony Roberson and Mardy Collins to get “ready” for game action.  Ironically, both players would most likely benefit more from guarding Steph than guarding each other, but I guess that given the recent events, that is a moot point.

Also, Steph asked the Knicks if he could practice with the Lincoln High School team in order to keep in game shape.  Clearly, Donnie Walsh refused given that he is still under contract with the Knicks and that risking an injury during a Lincoln practice would violate that contract.  When asked about the situation, Walsh stated through a spokesperson, “I’ve got nothing to say about it.”

Walsh must feel like he is running a daycare with Steph on the team.  The thought of playing with Lincoln is nice, but this is just another instance where Steph leaves us all scratching our heads wondering what he could possibly be thinking.  What can we expect next from this saga?  The sky is really the limit.
